SEDA NUVALI is a lakeside eco-lifestyle hotel by the AyalaLand Hotels and Resorts Group, located in the Nuvali area in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. SEDA is the Spanish word for silk. It also describes the seamless hospitality and service the brand is known for.

GROUND FLOOR: Lobby, Pool, & Game Room
SEDA Nuvali is a 150-room, 9-floor hotel at the heart of the 2,300-hectare Nuvali Eco-city development.
The artistic lobby greets you with wooden furniture by Kenneth Cobonpue, a metal mesh chair centerpiece by Ann Pamintuan, and Nuvali photographs by Paco Guerrero.
The swimming pool is very enticing, surrounded by the gardens that serve as the natural boundaries of the property (Operating Hours: 6.00am to 8.00pm).
This is for the exclusive use of in-house guests. Check out the Pool Rules.
You can hang out and read your favorite book in these Ann Pamintuan chairs if you want some peace & quiet, and a nice view of the lake.
The breathtaking view of the four-hectare Nuvali lake.
You can’t help but be excited for a morning run and renew your energy with nature’s beauty.
There’s a dedicated Children’s Playroom located at the ground floor, beside Misto.
My boys loved the Game Room, equipped with air hockey, computers…
…and a lounge with Playstation, X-box, and Nintendo.
(Tip: Game titles are limited, so it’s best to bring your own games.)
WiFi is free around the hotel, and the lobby has an E-lounge with Apple Computers–perfect for sending a quick email, checking social media, or playing computer games while waiting at the lobby.
SECOND FLOOR: Fitness Center, Spa, & Business Rooms
The second floor features the business rooms and the health & beauty amenities.
The Fitness Center (Operating Hours: 6.00am to 10.00pm).
SEDA’s Touch treatment rooms are located inside the Fitness Center. Check out SEDA’s Touch services and price list (Operating Hours: 1.00pm to 12.00mn).
SEDA Nuvali Function Rooms are fully-equipped and can host executive meetings for 10 up to 100 people.
9TH FLOOR: Club Lounge–To Club or not to Club?
The Club Lounge provides exclusive privileges to Executive Floor and Premier Room guests.
It offers private check-in and check-out for Club guests with an awesome aerial view of the lake.
It serves daily Continental breakfast, afternoon tea and cocktails, all-day coffee, and non-alcoholic beverages.
The lounge is equipped with iMac stations, work tables, a library, wide-screen LED HDTV with cable channels, and an office assistant.
SEDA PREMIER ROOM with CLUB LOUNGE BENEFITS
The hallways here are wider than in other SEDA properties, featuring photos inspired by Nuvali’s flora and fauna.
We recommend the 37sqm Premier Rooms for your family, with minimalistic design and standard 40-inch LED HDTV with cable.
Make sure to ask for the center rooms with a lakeside view.
All rooms come with an Executive Desk with a media panel (HDMI, USB, and audio-visual connectivity), IDD phone with iPod dock, alarm clock, and FM radio.
Be sure to reserve the Premier Rooms with a bathtub. 🙂
The Eco-Bliss Seda bathroom amenities are very generic, so make sure to bring your own toiletries.
The Premier Room has a small pantry with sink and microwave oven.
For bigger families, you can ask to connect an adjoining a 30sqm Deluxe Room with double beds.
This is the standard comfort room without a bathtub.
MISTO: What to order?
Misto, which means “mixed” in Italian, is the only all-day dining restaurant at the hotel, offering Filipino, Japanese, and Continental cuisine (Operating Hours: 6.00am to 10.00pm).
MISTO MENU: Breakfast | Favorites | Starters | Sandwiches | Soups & Salads | Pastas & Pizzas | Entrees | Filipino Classics | Rice Toppings & Extra Toppings | Desserts | Drinks | In-Room Dining
We tried almost all the items on the menu and here are our recommendations…
Appetizer Recommendation. Our favorite dish in Misto–the Salmon Pesto Wrap. The mushroom soup and prawn salad with pomelo are also good starters.
✮ Salmon Pesto Wrap (P280 +12% vat +10% service charge). Fresh salmon marinated in lemon and wrapped in rice paper served with raspberry mesclun salad.
Mushroom Soup (P200 +12% vat +10% service charge). Shitake and button mushrooms in a hearty broth.
Prawn Salad with Pomelo (P300 +12% vat +10% service charge). Crunchy greens with fresh prawns and pomelo in mango kaffir vinaigrette.
Main Dish Recommendation. The entrees are decent but they have a tendency to cook the steaks well done, so make sure to remind them of your preference. Here are our recommendations…
Grilled Cedar Plank Salmon (P580 +12% vat +10% service charge). Served with risotto, sweet shrimp, and asparagus topped with crispy shallots.
U.S. Tenderloin (P900 +12% vat +10% service charge). Served with steamed vegetables, potato, and pumpkin puree in red wine shallot sauce.
U.S. Prime Beef Rib Eye Steak (P1,200 +12% vat +10% service charge). Served with steamed vegetables, crispy onion, griddled potatoes, and chimichurri sauce.
Filipino Favorites Recommendation. The Filipino selection is the best we’ve tasted. It’s perfect if you’re bringing a balikbayan or a tourist guest. We would also recommend their Street Barbecue promotion. 🙂
✮ Pancit Canton with Pandesal and Kesong Puti (P380 +12% vat +10% service charge). Stir-fried noodles with vegetables, shrimps, pork, and chicken strips served with bread rolls and native cheese.
✮ Sinigang na Hipon (P420 +12% vat +10% service charge). Tamarind broth with a choice of pork, milkfish, or shrimps.
✮ Kare-Kare (P520 +12% vat +10% service charge). Traditional Filipino stew with think savoury peanut sauce, eggplant, string beans, banana heart, pechay in homemade shrimp paste.
✮ Binukadkad na Plapla (P280 +12% vat +10% service charge). Deep-fried plapla fish marinated in garlic.
For the Boys Recommendation. The food is actually just OK but something the kids would surely love.
Prawns Tempura (P390 +12% vat +10% service charge). Deep-fried shrimps served with tempura sauce.
Chicken Teriyaki (P280 +12% vat +10% service charge). Grilled Chicken with teriyaki sauce.
Seafood Pizza (P300 +12% vat +10% service charge). Thin crust pizza with mozzarella, salmon, shrimp, and crab meat.
Breakfast. The breakfast buffet is bland, so it’s best to lower your expectations. I hope they improve on this…there’s a real opportunity here for Misto to serve the best breakfast buffet in Laguna.
Desserts Recommendation. Get the ice cream with turon. If you want something unique, try the Thai dessert.
Ice Cream (P60/scoop +12% vat +10% service charge). Scoop of Vanilla, Chocolate, Ube, or Mango.
Turon de Leche (P180 +12% vat +10% service charge). Crispy banana and fruit rolls coated in brown sugar and sesame seeds served with ice cream.
Tub Tim Grob (P150 +12% vat +10% service charge). Water chestnuts in coconut milk.
NUVALI SUNSET
The best time to swim is during sunset, when the pool is romantically lit and you can eat dinner poolside.
The kid’s pool is quite spacious and safe for our 3-year old.
You won’t see the actual sunset, but you can see the colorful sky during the magic hour.
This is by far the best SEDA I’ve stayed at, and the best MISTO restaurant I’ve tried. It’s a great staycation alternative to Tagaytay.
Make sure to book the Premier Rooms with bathtub and a nice view of the Nuvali Lake. The kids would love the swimming pool, the Game Room, and the Club Lounge amenities.
We love the Salmon Pesto Wrap, the Filipino Favorites, and the Street Food Barbecue. The breakfast buffet needs improvement.
Don’t miss to the opportunity to run around the lake every morning and catch the colorful Nuvali sunset.
