The founders of Nomi Matcha, a modern Japanese Café dedicated to all things Matcha, has expanded to the booze business. Their most recent expansion is Nomu, a Japanese Speakeasy. It’s no surprise that they expanded towards the liquor circle as drinking is a shared interest between the Filipinos and the Japanese.
What’s surprising, however, is Nomu’s location. It’s located right inside Nomi!
So, where in Nomi can you find this bar?

Having opened their doors in 2012, Wild Flour Restaurant has gone on to become one of the most successful and recognizable (local) restaurant brands in Metro Manila.
Consistency, great food, and great talent are some of the key factors to Wild Flour’s success, and while a number of restaurants struggle in Manila’s highly competitive restaurant market, Wild Flour has been steadily growing with no signs of slowing down making their story a true, modern-day Filipino success story.
Starting out as a small French/American cafe and bakery that specialized in all day breakfast and lunch, Wild Flour has gradually evolved its menu to incorporate local and international items to keep up with customer demand. This has led the team to expand beyond the brunch style model by adding dinner to their menu which is now available at all branches.

The recently concluded 16th Annual Ultimate Taste Test, the longest running food event since 2008, was held at 55 Events Place along Scout Rallos St. in Quezon City. Some of the judges say this was one of the best UTT events yet because of the quality of the vendors, the online voting process and the impact to the food purveyors.

For this year’s Masters Edition, instead of getting the public’s vote, we brought in the restaurant industry’s Masters—chefs, food influencers and restaurateurs—as the judges. Their invaluable experience, advice and rating are highly essential especially to home-based businesses that are just starting out.
Set in a more intimate venue, the Ultimate Taste Test Masters Edition gave the vendors and Masters the opportunity to be more candid and personal.
We had almost a hundred judges and 26 vendors who supported this year’s event. We would like to extend our thanks to all our friends in the food industry who graced the event!
