[Bantayan+Malapascua #2] White Sands, Bantayan – The Best Restaurant in the Island!

By

This was a favorite and highly recommended by Tara Cebu (our official guide for the trip 🙂 You can notice that the waitresses are trained very well, from the setting of the utensils, to the way the food is served.
…These kebabs deliciously looked good but they costs P200+ per stick (we found out later) It rained that night so we had to move inside the main restaurant hut. … Our food was soo good and even the dessert was outstanding — crepe with Selecta choco peanut ice cream (P150-) How to get to White Sands: It is a very popular place and there are a lot of tricykad (bike tricycles) that you could rent going to/from Kota Beach.

[Bantayan+Malapascua #1] A Beach Love Affair…

By

Both the islands have a different attraction — Malapascua is so charming that it is regarded as Boracay more than 10 years ago… while Bantayan, is how the beach should be and where you can find peace and serenity.
…You have two options: take the fast craft which would cost you P100 and a terminal fee of P10 (less than an hour to Bantayan), or the ordinary ferries which would take you to Bantayan for almost an hour or so. … Since you are in the province, time slows down and so expect to get your food one hour after ordering them 🙂 The food in Bantayan is not that spectacular but definitely it is home cooked 🙂 At last, you now can feel that you are in a beach paradise where all your worries are swept away and you feel one with nature.

Shopping, Thai Massage and Amazing Thailand Subway!

The subway was very convenient to move from Pat Pong to the Suan Lum Night Market and I was amazed that Thais started to commute now vs. using cars because it is convenient and you avoid the traffic. I do hope that I get to see the day that Philippines would have our own Subway, people would prefer to commute vs. bringing their own cars, and start the culture of walking!
…At night, You should try to visit the Suan Lum Night Market — very nice ambiance, very unique finds, and kudos to Thailand for creating this night market specially for tourist who won’t have the weekend to spare for shopping.

So Woo?

According to her, it was called little cow because it is unique and did you know that the beef of little cows are juicer and taste a lot better than big cows. The food tasted like the authentic Korean food similar to the authentic Korean restaurant we normally visit at the back of Barrio Fiesta along Makati Avenue (I can’t recall the Korean name). … Surprisingly, we found it in this Korean place on the second floor of Harbour Square which boast of meat as their specialty .

Aidan’s Je Suis Gourmand Birthday Dinner

By

He looks like the baby from the last emperor 🙂 This is the ambiance of Je Suis Gourmand and there were a lot of foreigners eating dinner (which is often a good testament of good authentic cooking. … You should taste the Duck Foie Gras, so deliciously addicting that I don’t even want to taste it cause it could ruin my diet 🙂 This was a winner for my wife although she didn’t eat too much of it because of the cholesterol it has 🙂 Roasted Marinated Duck Confit (P490) with stewed lentil and Marsala Sauce.. … I ate the vegetables and you could taste the yummy sauce the type that you would want to lick the sauce clean out of the plate 🙂 My wife liked this lamb shank too although a few said that it was a little salty.

The Charming Island of Malapascua!

By

Just exclusive to Our Awesome Planet, I took a panoramic picture of Malapascua just to give you an orientation where the resorts are because there are not much information on the web about this island. … Cocobana Resort – The Biggest Resort and Most popular because this is were the boat station is, and they have beach front huts that you should try to reserve. … Only problem is it is on the other end of the main beach such that you have to walk 10-15 mins to go to the bars or to the south beach.

Finding Serenity @ Kota Beach, Bantayan Island!

By

I like its rustic charm where there is no TV, the clocks seems to slow down, you are like watching in an omni-theater about beach nature at its finest. … Unfortunately, this island is full of irony because they got exposed to tourist price early so some of the food are expensive specially if it is owned by a foreigner. … They don’t have diving resorts but Marlin’s Resort would have water sports available and ski-boarding since the beach faces the open sea.
