I have a theory that if Chef David is not in the house, most of the food are frozen or prepared in advanced so the quality of food is degraded. It is still a lot better than most restaurants in Tagaytay, but since the quality of food is just OK, some would feel that it is over priced.
…We were looking for a new place in Tagaytay but we only find the usual ones which you can’t consider as “bloggable” as my wife and I would call it.

[ Playa Calatagan #5] a Manos Greek Tavern Dinner

The first time, I saw Manos Greek Taverna with its inviting blue and white structure, I hesitated to try it out because of the fear of being disappointed with a Filipino-style Greek cuisine similar to Mati in Rockwell.
…Although, it looks like a canteen atmosphere inside, I would give credit to Manos for putting in the effort to give his guests a greek ambiance by posting pictures of Crete and other greek designs. … It tasted like beef omelet with vegetables and potato but the ingredients blended very well to give you a unique taste that you’ll surely go back for more.

[ Playa Calatagan #2] Breakfast @ Antonio’s “Halfway House”

…I was pleasantly surprised that there are a lot of healthy and vegetarian options including this Vegetarian Fritata (P190) (open-ended omelet) which was delicious!!

Coffee Alamid @ Bag of Beans, Tagaytay

You should try out the roasted Coffee Alamid which has a sweet, chocolatey aroma that heightens the senses — light and naturally sweet. What makes this amazingly expensive is that the coffee beans are digested by the Philippine civet (a cat) which ferments the coffee beans and excreted as whole beans. … By the way, Bag of Beans is along the main highway in Tagaytay after passing by the Mendez intersection but before reaching the Tagaytay radars or the way going to Antonio’s.
