VIANELLAS: Chic Flip-Flops to Wear on the Beach!

Negros’ favorite beach resort threw a beach festival and they did it in style!

Summer is over! But for the ladies who are still chasing that sun-kissed and Instagram-worthy photos on the beach, Vianellas has got you covered.

VIANELLAS, is a local flip-flop brand focused on simple, chic, and affordable beachwear by Negreñse designer Tanya Gonzales. The name itself has a witty meaning, “Viaje” a Spanish word referring to ‘travel’ and “Tsinelas” meaning ‘slippers’. This links closely to their philosophy of sharing the love for travel and the beach.

Their trendy designs are inspired by various famous beaches from around the world, such as Santorini, Santa Monica, Legzira, and Anzio.

Choosing the right sandals are a vital part of your travel wardrobe, and here’s why Vianellas would look good on our cute summer dress or even bikini.

Agimat Foraging Bar and Kitchen (A Review)

Agimat is the flagship foraging bar concept of Liquido Maestro by Kalel Demetrio x  Modern Filipino Tapas by Chef Niño Laus in the heart of Brgy Poblacion.

The name and concept are inspired by Filipino folklore: the mysterious amulet known for warding off evil or the mythical charm noted for developing instant attraction to the bearer.

Agimat promises a magical experience for those looking for mystical ambiance, otherworldly cocktails and spellbinding food that celebrate everything indigenously Filipino.

#Philippines, Camiguin Island

Thank You, Camiguin! @Traveloka

cover
The island province of Camiguin, known as the island born of fire, is a popular tourist destination in the south region of the Philippines.  Known for its clear blue waters and diverse wildlife, the island draws in visitors from all over the world who are looking for an alternative to the more fast-paced vacations islands in the Philippines.

Camiguin is the perfect place to get away and lose yourself, a more chilled and laid back type of island that still has plenty of activities for those who crave a bit of adventure.

Camiguin is the second smallest Philippine province after Batanes (link Batanes) in the north and is home to a population of roughly around 89,000 people. A large expat community also calls the island home.

Camiguin itself is a volcanic island with 7 dormant volcanos and 15 marine sanctuaries. The fertile soil is ideal for planting and the local Lanzones are renowned and sought after all throughout the Philippines.  (Lanzones are a type of tropical tree which fruit tastes like a combination of grapes and grapefruit.)

Mount Hibok-Hibok has been designated as an ASEAN (Association Of South East Asian Nations) Heritage Park and the surrounding area is home to a number of waterfalls and natural springs.
