Moscow is the capital and the biggest city in Russia. It is a major political, economic and cultural center for Russia and Europe because it’s also the largest city in the entire European continent.

The megacity is famous for its unique architecture; but mainly it’s most famous building such as the Kremlin, the Red Square, and the world-renowned Saint Basils Cathedral.

ST. PETERSBURG: The Greatest City in Russia

Peter 8

St. Petersburg is a city in Russia that was founded by Russian Emperor Peter I the Great as Russia’s “Window to Europe.” A beautiful city with an amazing history and an artistic culture to match.

The city of St. Petersburg is only 2nd to Moscow in terms of size and sheer scale, but after touring both cities, I find that St. Petersburg has greater things to offer compared to Moscow.

Find out why the country’s cultural heart and the old capital of the Russian empire became my favorite city.

MURMANSK: The Northernmost City in the Arctic Circle.

Murman 4

Not everyone can say that they’ve traveled to the top of the world, but if you’re in Russia, then you’ve got a better chance than most.

Located in the far north of Russia, Murmansk experiences extremely cold and long winters that last most of the year, a literal definition of a winter wonderland.

A place where even the Trans-Siberian rail ends, Murmansk is a feat by itself. A perfectly livable city with a fascinating history and beautiful nature to match.

Hong Kong: Family Fun in the Outlying Islands of HK! (Travel Guide)

Read First: Hong Kong: Family Fun in the City! (Travel Guide)

HKIlsland Hero Shot

Did you know there is another side of Hong Kong besides its busy cityscape? When visiting Hong Kong, make sure to visit the Outlying Islands of Hong Kong for the hiking trails and their awesome scenery, a preview of the laid-back side of Hong Kong life, and for general great outdoor fun.

Apart from the best well-known Lantau Island where the Hong Kong Disneyland is situated at, there’re other outlying islands which can be experienced by day trip and very convenient.

Our boys loved the family hiking trail in Lamma, exploring the mountains and the fishing village of Tai O in Lantau Island. Make sure to have an extra time to explore the UNESCO Global Geopark of Hong Kong.

Here are the four experiences we highly recommend on your next trip to Hong Kong with your family (and how to get there easily):
