FARMACY: Soda Fountain & Ice Cream Shoppe by Wild Flour (A Review) @WildFlourManila

Farmacy-13.jpg
FARMACY is a soda fountain and homemade ice cream spin-off shop from the Wild Flour group. It’s a throwback to the turn of the 19th century, when people thought that carbonated water was a cure-all and when soda made its way into pop culture.

They offer a healthy dose of deliciousness for foodies looking for a happy ending.

We brought the boys for an ice cream and dessert treat at Farmacy, and here’s our experience…

RAVEN’S NEST: Roof Deck Gourmet Sanctuary by Chef Benjo Tuason @NestMNL

The Raven's NEST-40.jpg
NEST is a modern gastronomy restaurant where Asian flavors meet Western-style cooking, located at the roof deck of the W Building. It’s the antithesis of the Raven club with it’s casual, bright, and welcoming ambiance. It’s your home base for eating and drinking before or after clubbing in BGC. 🙂

It’s another successful restaurant concept by Chef Benjo Tuason of RELIK and URBN BAR & KITCHEN fame.

Here’s what we recommend when dining at NEST…

BLACK SHEEP Degustacion: The Culinary Brilliance of Chef Jordy Navarra! #BlackSheepBGC

Update March 9, 2016: Black Sheep BGC is now closed and moved to Black Sheep Manila.

Black Sheep by Chef Jordy Navarra-27.jpg
I was so impressed with the “Bahay Kubo” that Chef Jordy Navarra served during the Lifestyle Asia Gala Dinner, we had to go back to Black Sheep and try their most raved-about degustacion.

The first time we tried Black Sheep, the chef was still feeling his way into the Manila food scene. This time around, Chef Jordy was able to express his culinary brilliance, celebrating Filipino ingredients and our culture through food.

I’d like to share with you our Black Sheep experience with our friends Rhoda and Vince…

12/10 December Love Affair! a hip Izakaya Joint by @thegirl_thebull (a review)

As featured in MAKATI: 10 Most Awesome NEW Restaurants in Makati 2014! @MakeItMakati

12-10 Restaurant-8.jpg
12/10 is a Japanese restaurant by Thea de Rivera and Gab Bustos, also known as The Girl + The Bull. The name of their second restaurant is a tribute to their anniversary date. The restaurant is an izakaya-inspired drinking joint featuring a customize-your-own degustation.

It’s like the younger, hip brother of Mecha Uma–another “graduate” of the BF Aguirre Food Street– offering contemporary Japanese cuisine to a mainstream foodie audience in the metro.

Went on a date with Rache plus the boys at 12/10, and here’s what we think it…

MEGA FASHION HALL: 10 BEST New Restaurants @SMMegaMall in 2014!

SM Mega Mall successfully rebranded itself as a foodie destination with the exciting Mega Fashion Hall restaurants this 2014 Christmas season. Congratulations to the SM Mega Mall team!

Here’s a wrap-up guide of the 10 Best NEW Restaurants at SM Mega Mall:

1. IPPUDO

Ippudo Philippines-72.jpg

IPPUDO is the most popular Hakata-style Tonkotsu (pork-based) ramen in the world. It was founded in 1985 by Ramen King Shigemi Kawahara in Fukuoka City, Kyushu

Its name literally means “One Wind Hall” and is symbolic for the restaurant’s going against the wind and revolutionizing the ramen era of the time. It was the first shop to offer ramen in a carefully crafted setting, so that both men and women can enjoy an elegant bowl of noodle soup. It was also the first to refer to its broth by colour Shiro (white) for the classic and Aka (red) for spicy.

After months of waiting, Ippudo Philippines has finally opened to complete the Ramen Craze in Manila. 🙂

Here’s what to expect from the Ippudo experience in Manila (in comparison to Ippudo Singapore)…
