Now was the only time we are able to visit it and here’s what we think about this secret Italian resto in Tagaytay…

VA BENE: Our Favorite Pasta Deli now serves Napolitana-Style Pizza! @_CircuitMakati

Va Bene Pasta Deli Circuit Lane-31.jpg
VA BENE is an artisan Italian restaurant by Chef Massimo and Carolyn Veronesi. It started off as a humble pasta deli in Petron Edsa on the corner of Pasay Road and, after much success, opened its second branch in BGC.

The third and latest branch is in Circuit Lane Makati, which now (finally!) serves Napolitana Pizza after strong clamor from the foodie community.

We checked out Va Bene Circuit Lane on the first night of their soft opening. Here’s what to expect…

POP CAFE by Kettle Korn: Liquid Nitrogen-Charged Popcorn Pops! @POPCafePH

POP Cafe-43.jpg

POP CAFE is the first Liquid Nitrogen-charged Popcorn Cafe in the Philippines by Kettle Korn–originally created by RFM’s Joey Concepcion–and is the latest craze in enjoying this popular snack.

This is the first time I’ve seen liquid nitrogen used in popcorn. The nitrogen not only provides a cooling effect but also gives a smoky fun factor that even kids can enjoy. The popcorn kernels are made from whole grains and popped fresh in-store too, making for a healthy treat.

We recently tried all the flavors and offerings of Pop Cafe. Here’s what to expect and what we recommend…

KIWA Solaire: Finest Korean Barbecue Grill in Manila! @SolaireResort

KIWA Korean Grill-42.jpg

KIWA is an authentic, fine dining Korean Grill by the Kung Bok Kung restaurant group. The name “Kiwa”–the traditional Korean roof tile–was used in Manila so that it can be easily pronounced by Filipinos while still highlighting its Korean roots.

The restaurant is best known for its authentic charcoal-grilled seasoned beef ribs and Korean dishes cooked by world-class Korean chefs. They use an underground exhaust system so that you won’t get any smoke stains on your shirt.

For Korean food lovers, this is a must-visit restaurant at Solaire resort.
