Bird Watching Trip with the Boys @ Nuvali

We want Aidan and Joshua to appreciate nature as early as possible, so we went on a Bird Watching trip in Nuvali. We went with the Wild Bird Club of the Philippines (WBCP) to check out the bird watching places in the area.

Cosmic Kidz, The Biggest Playground in Manila

Kids Universe is the “Fun Ranch” innovation of SM Malls. It is the latest kiddie place that opened in time for the Christmas season in SM Mall of Asia. With the World Pyro Olympics being postponed to early next year, there is really no other “new” place to go with your kids. There’s no new Carnival or visiting exhibits like the Dinosaurs last year (except for the traveling Big Blue Whale Exhibit in Ayala Malls).

One of the reasons you might want to consider visiting Kids Universe is that it houses Cosmic Kidz, the biggest Kiddie Play Area in Manila — about 4 stories high. I’ll give you a photo tour of the place so that you can use it to share stories with your kids. Also, I’ll share with you potential dining options around the area.

Instead of watching TV, reading books is a bonding and interactive experience that your kids would rave about throughout their childhood.

The long holidays are fast approaching. During this time, Manila life slows down as most people travel out of the metro to see the different beaches and travel destinations in the country. This is the perfect setting for Manila to show you its beauty, usually hidden in the commercial activities and multitasking of everyday life.

It is also the best time to foster nationalism in the hearts of our children. Our kids live in a time when being Filipino is cool and more parents are deciding to stay in Manila rather than migrate to other countries. To love the Philippines, Manileños like us should start by appreciating our beloved Manila.

Here are top 5 ideas for exploring the beauty of Manila with our children…
