TBEX Opening Speakers Party-22.jpg

I still can’t believe that TBEX has finally come to the Philippines! TBEX–or Travel Blogger Exchange–is the largest gathering of Travel Bloggers in the world.

Ever since I attended TBEX in Athens in 2014, I’ve envisioned bringing the conference to the country. And with the help of Rick of TBEX, the Department of Tourism, and the Tourism Promotions Board, the historic TBEX Asia Philippines is happening this weekend, October 15-16, 2016

We have the world’s top travel bloggers and 400+ other inspiring travel bloggers from North America, Europe, and Asia coming together to learn, network, and party here in Manila.

The Opening VIP Speakers Party was held at Samba, the first authentic Peruvian restaurant in Manila at Shangri-La, The Fort.

Here’s a photo essay of that event…

HUSH: Don’t Breathe Inspired Live Action Escape Room! @BreakoutPH

BreakoutPH: HushHUSH by Breakout PH is the new live action escape room game experience inspired by the new suspense thriller “Don’t Breathe“.

Just like the movie you and your friends break into the blind man’s house thinking you’ll get away with the perfect heist. But you are all wrong. So don’t make a sound. Don’t even breathe.

The escape room takes you to a whole new level of experience as the game flow is driven by a violent blind man and live actors. Players must carefully try to move around the rooms without getting caught.

Plus did we mention that this is the only escape room where players can die? Check out one of our favorite escape rooms HUSH….

STANDOUT COOK FEST: Getting Together for the Love of Adobo @ILoveFairviewTerraces!

Adobo is one of the most beloved culinary treasures in the country. Feted for its simplicity and flexibility, households all over the nation have developed their own take on this dish through creative heirloom recipes.

Ayala Fairview Terraces, in collaboration with Datu Puti,  Manam, La Rouge Products, and Our Awesome Planet, held a cook fest last Saturday seeking out the best homemade Adobo in Quezon City. Five contenders were given 45 minutes to impress a panel of three judges: Chef Claude Tayag, Chef Sandy Daza, and Chef Ernz Owera.

DEBBY’S DOLL: Annabelle-inspired Horror Theme Room @MysteryManila @CenturyMall

Mystery Manila: Debby's Doll
Debby’s Doll is one of my favorite horror theme rooms from Mystery Manila. The story revolves around an old possessed doll your little sister finds in the new house your family has moved into. Strange insidious things have started to happen and it’s up to you to save your sister from the mysterious entity before it’s too late.

Mystery Manila is a simulated escape room experience that can be played by up to 6 players. You and your friends bust your brains to solve a mystery by carefully piecing together complex clues under a fun and challenging time constraint of 60 minutes.

Here’s what to expect from Debby’s Doll…

CRIME OF THE CENTURY: Bomb Squad Mission! @MysteryManila @CenturyMall

Mystery Manila: Crime of the Century

Crime of The Century is one of the rooms in Mystery Manila where your team takes on the role of a bomb squad, tasked to locate and diffuse a ticking time bomb inside Century City Mall.

The bomb squad must be able to locate the time bomb–which could be anywhere–within a 90-minute time limit! This is unique from the rest of Mystery Manila’s other rooms because the whole mall serves as one huge room.

Check out our Crime of The Century experience with the OAP Team (no spoilers in this post)…
