Malasimbo Music and Arts Festival is an international music arts and festival set amidst the tropical gardens of Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines. The festival grounds are situated at the foothills of Mt. Malasimbo where the grass-terraced amphitheater overlooks one of the most beautiful bays in the world.
This year for their 5th anniversary, they are bringing in two weekend of festivities: The Malasimbo Music & Arts Festival on March 6-8 and The Malasimbo Lights & Dance Festival on March 13-15.
Malasimbo is a top attraction in the Department of Tourism’s campaign, “Visit the Philippines Year 2015.” It is known for its local and international artists, awe-breathtaking landscape, and unique ecological programs. The festival continues to grow into a global phenomenon, with more than 5,000 people from over 30 countries in attendance in 2014.

I love how we could sit on the grass-terraced amphitheater overlooking the moon and the stars. There are no VIP sections and guests can freely roam around the grounds. You’d also be surprised that the artists themselves mingle and blend in with the crowd.
