Ooma

About Ooma

OOMA Japanese Rice Bar is a bold Japanese restaurant concept by Chef Bruce Ricketts of Mecha Uma with The Moment Group. It aims to be an affordable Japanese comfort food place (at less than P500/dish), featuring intense flavors that Pinoys will love and, of course, unlimited rice!

The name is a play on Uma, which means “good”. The use of the O’s is meant to represent their “orgasmically” good food.

There have been talks that this is just a commercialized fast food version of Sensei Sushi, or a Hi-Lo concept strategy for Mecha Uma.

Botejyu

About Botejyu

“BOTEJYU was established in 1946 in the gourmet city of Tamade, Osaka by Eikichi Nishino. Our restaurant name, BOTEJYU, was coined from the rhythmic cooking sound of okonomiyaki. The first part of the name, “BOTE” comes from the flipping sound of the okonomiyaki and the second part of the name, “JYU”, represents the sizzling sound as it cooks on the teppan grill. Since our establishment more than 70 years ago, we have taken pride in our restaurant name and have protected it by registering it as a trademark.”

Nanbantei

About Nanbantei

Nanban means “foreigner” and Tei rest house or teahouse. When put together, Nanbantei means a place where guests can unwind and have something to eat or drink ater a long day of work.

Nanbantei of Tokyo is an international chain of yakitori restaurants, with locations in Singapore, Shanghai, and the Philippines. Their flagship restaurant is in Roponggi, with a history that spans over 40 years.

The chain’s longevity can be attributed to their commitment to the traditional way of preparing and cooking yakitori, as well as the kind of service and ambiance that the Japanese are known for.

In the Philippines, Nanbantei opened its first branch in Polaris St., Makati in 1998. It then moved to Greenbelt 3 to cater to a more diverse market in 2002. It renovated its restaurant in 2010, when Am-Phil Food Concepts (the group that brought Chili’s in the Philippines in 1996) took over its management.”
