About Tim Ho Wan
Tim Ho Wan is a Michelin Star hole-in-the-wall eatery in Hongkong, famous for Baked Pork Buns.

I love the clean and high quality taste of the dishes! It’s great that they import almost all their ingredients or create them in-house to make sure there’s no compromise in the taste. Most of all, I love their awesome pricing of less than P200 per dish, which is quite competitive.

6. Hawker Chan

About Hawker Chan
What was once a humble hawker stall from Singapore, Hawker Chan, is now a fast-growing Michelin-star restaurant across the globe. Originally called Liao Fan Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice Noodle, the name Hawker Chan was adapted for its dine-in restaurants following the global expansion.

Chef-owner Chan Hong Meng first opened in Singapore’s Chinatown in 2009. Eight years later, he earned his first Michelin Star for the signature Soya Chicken Rice.

Order the Thai Style Tofu and the Any 3 Combination Platter (Soy Chicken, Char Siew, Roasted Pork) to get a taste of everything plus a side of rice or my fave noodles. This is a good place if you’re looking for a quick, hearty lunch.

14. ACA CHAN COOKS

‘Aca Chan, is a food enthusiast who was born and raised in Hong Kong and is now a startup in the online food industry, however, definitely not a startup in the kitchen. He’s the artist behind our hearty recipes. These dishes that we have prepared for you are our comfort food at home for more than 20 years now, and never fail to satiate our tummies and taste palette, as well as our friends’ and family’s.

Their dishes are simply made. The Char Siu is marinated overnight in Aca Chan’s secret recipe, making sure that the authentic flavors are well absorbed by the meat and then using a broiling method to cook until perfectly charred. Their version could be easily distinguished from other char siu’s because of its strong aroma and dark sauce that has a sweet, savory, and a hint of smoky flavor to it. The Spring Onion Chicken is steamed and the sauce is made of well seasoned spring onion and ginger.’

BABU STALL #8 (THE GRID FOOD MARKET)

It’s not Chinese but Singaporean Hawker Fare.

I’m always a big fan of Hainanese Chicken Rice, and I never miss an opportunity to order my favor meal.

The Grid is the latest venture of Charles Paw, founder and CEO of the Tasteless Group, the same brains behind Century City Mall’s Hole in the Wall. Food halls and food parks have burgeoned over the last few years, all with their aggressive branding and marketing. But for the majority, their over-the-top ideas took the front seat; and quality, the back seat.

The Grid focuses less on trendy and experimental food concepts, but more on familiar cuisine done with expertise. That being said, this food hall brings together some of Manila’s culinary industry’s most prominent names.
