It’s critical that we boost our immune system in the new normal in the Post-Covid World.

We talked to integrative and regenerative expert Dr. Joel Lopez about immune boosting hacks you can do at home:

1). Sunlight or Vitamin D3. Exposure to Sunlight ideally before 9am. If you are not getting enough sunlight, take 5,000 to 10,000 units of Vitamin D3 which is a pro-hormone and immune modulator.

2). Alkalize your body by eating a plant-based diet with vegetables and nuts.

3). Drink Vitamin C at least 3,000 to 6,000 milligrams per day of vitamin C in divided doses throughout the day.

4). Take a lot of Zinc which has antiviral properties that prevents viral replication inside the cell and also transcription of viral proteins which is important in the fight against Covid 19. Natural sources of Zinc are oysters and pumpkin seeds but you can take 200 milligrams of Zinc Picolinate which would provide the required daily dosage of 40 milligrams of Elemental Zinc.

5). Selenium. Take the mineral Selenium which is important in the production of an antioxidant that
we produce in our body called Glutathione.

6). Quercetin. Is a bio-flavonoid called Quercetin which is a natural antihistamine but it’s also a zinc ionophore meaning it that it could help the transport of zinc into the cell whereas zinc could function as an antiviral and found in lots of fruits and vegetables such as red apples it could also be found in red onions as well as green tea.

7). Gut Health. It is recommended to eat Probiotics which could also get from fermented food like
kefir, sauerkraut, atsara and kombucha.

8). Get enough sleep. Maximize your rest ideally before 11 p.m. because that’s when the body actually secretes regenerative or healing hormones like melatonin and growth hormone.
