Simply Moving Philippines, Inc. (SMPI), the Philippines’ key distributor of Segway products has partnered with Star City Adventure Zone to bring one of its latest innovations – the Ninebot GoKart – to the public.

WHAT IS THE SEGWAY GOKART KIT?
The GoKart Kit is a sort of expansion pack added to the Segway miniPRO, their self-balancing electric scooter. This means that you need to have the Segway miniPRO first before you can have the GoKart.

The GoKart Kit is simply charged by plugging it to an electric outlet. The kits can be operated indoor and outdoor provided that you have enough space. The best part is its ease of use and the fact that it has zero emissions.
Adventure Zone is Star City’s outdoor park for thrilling activities such as the Zipline, High Ropes, and Wall Climbing.
The once empty space between the rope course and Global Gutz has been converted into a wide, extensive track specifically for the Segway GoKart.
A whole lap takes around 45 seconds to 1 minute depending on how fast you go. The GoKarts are set to the professional setting with a max speed of 24kph. This is adjusted accordingly especially if there are younger children trying out the course.
Star City requires all players to wear protective gear before heading to the course. The GoKart is extremely light at just 27.8kg so be careful with sudden turns or brakes.
It’s much more thrilling when you’re with a competitive group of friends!
Some tips to remember:
- It’s a race, not a bump car ride. Be mindful not to hit other racers.
- No selfies, please. Use of phones are prohibited during the race.
- Wear appropriate attire. No skirts or dresses. Best to wear closed shoes as well.
- Don’t forget to use sunblock!
The GoKart course costs ₱ 500 per head, for a maximum of 12 minutes. The GoKart can only accommodate those 6 feet and below in height. 12 minutes is ample time for the course as this can get you around 10-15 laps easily.
