RICO’S LECHON MANILA: Cebu’s Best Lechon Opens its First Branch in Manila!

Cebu’s favorite lechon is coming to Manila this August 3!

Now, there’s no need to fly to Cebu if you’re craving for that perfectly roasted pig from the iconic Rico’s Lechon.

As the pioneer of the famous Spicy Lechon, the secret to their success lies in how they prepare the pig, seasoned only with traditional herbs and spices, and it has always been this way ever since owner Enrico Dionson started the business in 1997.

The menu also highlights other Filipino faves besides lechon. Rico’s has always been my go-to spot whenever I visit Cebu, and here’s why we couldn’t be more excited!

Siargao Bleu

Untitled
Siargao Bleu, by far, is one of the better resorts we had the pleasure of staying in.  The unique design and architecture perfectly encapsulate, the laid-back provincial feel of the entire island.  And while it’s the only Triple-A resort in Siargao, the establishment doesn’t come off as too bourgie or high-class.

Perfect for a romantic getaway or with a small group of family or friends, Siargao Bleu is for people who love the island life and, at the same time, know how to relax in style.

Untitled
Located at the heart of Siargao and minutes away from Cloud 9 Surfing, the resort draws guests from all around the world.

Surfing season is the busiest time in  Siargao and the resort is typically booked.  The popularity of Siargao Bleu makes it one of the most frequented resorts on the island so booking ahead of time is recommended.

HUNI SICOGON: What to Expect @hunisicogon ? (First Look)

Huni Sicogon is Ayala Land’s latest venture in Western Visayas. Just opened this July 2018, it is a 52-key, 2-storey boutique resort located at Sicogon Tourism Estate.

Sicogon Island is located on the northernmost part of Iloilo, under the municipality of Carles. This island has remained under the radar for the past few years, especially after Yolanda hit and brought casualty to the locals and their livelihood. Ayala is set to turn the island into a tourism estate, much like Lio El Nido.

I had the privilege to be one of the first few to visit the resort in its first week. Here’s what you can expect at Huni:

Travel to Heaven

Holy Land Pilgrimage: Following the Footsteps of Jesus (Photo Essay)

About 85% of Filipinos are Christians and the Philippines is considered to be the 6th largest Christian country in the world.

Which is why it only makes sense that a lot of Filipinos dreams of visiting the land of the Bible.

To some, traveling to the holy land is considered to be the final step to fulfill their Christianity. But for most, traveling to the holy land means giving their life a far greater meaning.

At least that was true back in the day. Sadly, nowadays only a few remaining devoted Christians would want to visit the land of the bible.

As our generation gets younger and other travel destinations become cheaper, fewer tourists and pilgrims no longer consider the Holy land their “bucket list” destination.

Lucky for me as a young “Millennial,” I was blessed to be offered to join a group of pilgrims bound for the holy land. Join me, as we embark on a journey to walk in the footsteps of Jesus.
