Gallery by Chele & Carlo: Flavor-Forward and Fine Casual Vask

Gallery by Chele is a new restaurant concept by Chef Chele Gonzales and Carlo Villaflor based on the learnings from Vask Gallery and Tapas Bar.

It’s flavor-forward; celebrating local ingredients in the Philippines refined by Spanish culinary techniques.

I like the casual, open ambiance with inviting wood and nature-inspired interiors.

You can order a la carte and even dine in the bar area even without a reservation. Best of all, the tasting menus are priced reasonably.

Chefs Digest: Gallery By Chele

Must-try Camiguin Food (and Where to Find Them!)

Camiguin is a small island off the coast on the northern side of Misamis Oriental. Second only to Batanes as the smallest island in the Philippines, Camiguin spans just 238 sq. km. At its longest, it is just 23 kilometers or basically the whole stretch of EDSA.

Bean and Yolk: How do you like your eggs?

Bean and Yolk, a play on the term Coffee and Eggs is a brunch spot by Papo Jorolan that has found its way to Alabang. With roots in Poblacion, they are best known for their sandwiches and coffee.

The new Alabang branch features a much larger space and an expanded menu. The new menu includes salads, waffles, and desserts.
