Kalye Artisano is an artists’ village home to Philippine Arts and Crafts located in Lio Beach, El Nido, Palawan. It is home to shops by local artisans made accessible to both tourists and locals.

At the moment, there are 6 retail stores in Kalye Artisano. Each has their own distinct style and flair, and all made with love by local artisans.
All the stores have an open air and welcoming vibe.
These colorful chairs are scattered in the vicinity, great for taking a break from all the shopping.
There’s no shortage of color in Kalye Artisano, as even the trees are wrapped in colorful yarn.
The highlight of Kalye Artisano is the retail stores and all their items. Here are some of my favorite finds at Kalye Artisano:
1. Cold-pressed VCO Soap
You can’t go wrong with all-natural soaps that possess anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and antioxidant properties.
2. At Galeri, paintings of all mediums are on display.
3. Bamboo Straws
These do leave a little aftertaste compared to using metal straws, but this is a great option if you’re looking for something natural.
4. Bags from Piopio
Handcrafted, intricate pieces made by local artists and weavers. A great way to spruce up your summer outfit.
5. Copper Votives
It’s not all just beauty and fashion at Kalye Artisano; they also have homewares on display. These copper candle votives are a great addition to a work desk.
6. Baybayin Necklace
We no longer use Baybayin on a daily basis, but there seems to be a resurgence in the younger crowd in making Baybayin relevant again.
7. Silver Jewelry
How cute are these? Sea glass set in silver shaped as dugong and turtles, both commonly found in Palawan.
8. Mermaid Dolls
These mermaid dolls would make the perfect gift for kids and kids at heart whose hearts always yearn to be at the sea.
9. Bird Mobile
These hanging bird pieces caught my eye for their bright colors and intricate detailing.
10. Recycled bracelets
These bracelets made from scraps are from the same artists of the Baybayin necklace. Repurposed surplus beads and buttons made into bracelets are a great gift for your hippie friends.
Before flying out of El Nido, pass by Kalye Artisano for last minute unique souvenirs. It’s just 5 minutes away from the airport so you don’t have to worry about missing your flight. 30 minutes is enough to scour the place, but you could easily spend an hour just looking at all the trinkets if you don’t watch your time.
