Sunday Side of HEAT

Sunday Side of HEAT features the best of Filipino food from Cebu Lechon to indigenous local ingredients and home-based favorites alongside the best of international Sunday buffet (₱2,400 nett per person).

Start with the chicken liver pate from the kitchen of Ginger Teehankee.

Love the different shades of organic tomatoes; you can enjoy them with your salad or as a salsa relish.

Start with really good Japanese sushi and sashimi by the chefs and culinary team of Restaurant Senju.

I like to have my soup to start the buffet and HEAT has one of the best soup noodle stations in the metro.

Our favorite is their Singapore Laksa.

The kids would enjoy the truffle carbonara pasta.

The Cebu Lechon is authentic and comes directly from Cebu; they got it from the same supplier of Shangri-La Mactan.

The famous Lechon Belly of Antonio’s is prominently displayed and it’s really tasty and crispy!

I love their rice options of heirloom rice, mountain violet, tinawon white or tinawon fancy by Eight Wonders.

For dessert, you can’t resist the cream cheese leche flan by Ginger Teehankee and the innovative cone and ice cream flavors.

Love the mocktails from Mango Paraiso for the kids and Buko Mojito for the healthy guilty pleasure.

For digestive, order tea or freshest ginger ale from Stanford Shaw.

Family Fun in Edsa Shang

You can leave the kids to have fun in the play area just beside HEAT where you can keep an eye on them while you continue to enjoy the HEAT buffet.

After the HEAT lunch, you can head to the pool and enjoy the mini water park with the kiddie ones.

Yes, you can now have a day access to the pool until 6pm.

This is the best hotel swimming pool in the metro because it is surrounded by trees with a cool pool design.

Final Thoughts

Edsa Shangri-La is centrally located so it’s perfect for a weekend getaway and a perfect place to stay when you do some errands around the metro. I would suggest to go on a staycation from Saturday to Sunday and ask for a late checkout.

You can celebrate a special occasion with the family during the Sunday Side of HEAT during lunch. Treat the kids to swimming pool for fun. They can have day access to the pool even if they don’t stay overnight.
