Philippine Wrestling Revolution: “This is Awesome! ??? Nyeeeam!” (A REVIEW) @PWROfficial

Philippine Wrestling Revolution-46.jpg

Philippine Wrestling Revolution is the premier professional wrestling show in the Philippines featuring our very own Pinoy Wrestlers and a Live experience that will surely get you hooked into the storyline.  PWR was founded last December 2013 with the aim to become the premier wrestling promotion in Southeast Asia.

We grew up watching WWF (now WWE) with our dad until there was a scandal that revealed that all the matches are scripted. After a while, you get to appreciate the wrestling matches like watching a theatrical wrestling show and you are on the edge on what will happen next.

I’ve always wanted to watch a live wrestling match and here’s what we think about PWR Live in Manila…

PWR Live is technically PG 13 but I still decided to bring the boys to experience and enjoy live wrestling in Manila.

TAG TEAM BATTLE: PUNK DOLLS defeated KAKAIBROS

Philippine Wrestling Revolution-5.jpg
We love watching the pre-game rituals of the wrestlers and participating in the cheering of the crowd.

PWR-tag-team
It’s fun to watch the finishing moves of the wrestlers like looking at a synchronized wrestling fight.

ALL OUT WAR: THE APOCALYPSE defeated TRIAN DELA TORRE

Wrestling-Match
The All Out War format has no 1-2-3 count outs, no disqualifications and no holds-barred so you win by a 10 count or stoppage by the referee.

Philippine Wrestling Revolution-13.jpg
It was awesome to see the drama on how The Apocalypse (in a mask) became the inaugural PWR All Out War Champion.

Philippine Wrestling Revolution-16.jpg
There is a 10-minute break just like any other theater show, so we bought some chi cha from the supermarket across Bayanihan.

SINGLE MATCH: DAX XAVIERA defeated KEN WARREN

PWR-Match
It would be good to read the background of the wrestlers like Ken Warren their back story and wrestling styles.

Philippine Wrestling Revolution-27.jpg
The crowd participation was electrifying specially when the wrestler you are rooting for won.

MATIRA MATIBAY: RALPH IMABAYASHI defeated JAKE “THE SENYORITO” DE LEON

Philippine Wrestling Revolution-54.jpg
The Haciendero-turned-into-Wrestler charmed the crowd with his pre-game ritual and flamboyant attitude.

Jake-Match
But Japanese wrestler Imabayashi impressed the crowd with his counter moves and his hair to win the match.

Philippine Wrestling Revolution-59.jpg
We were sitting in the family section with other kids and surprisingly foreigners who want to see Philippine wrestling action.

TAG TEAM BATTLE: JOHN SEBASTIAN & PETER VERSOZA vs. FIGHTER 4 HIRE

Philippine Wrestling Revolution-30.jpg
John Sebastian was the crowd favorite because of his serious, comical attitude.

Philippine Wrestling Revolution-34.jpg
This fight was tough. I had to tell my kids that the wrestling match was scripted because they were starting to get scared.

Philippine Wrestling Revolution-43.jpg
The boys enjoyed every slam and started to chant and cheer with the crowd.

Philippine Wrestling Revolution-15.jpg We were seated beside the heckling gallery shouting “Nyeeeam!”

Philippine Wrestling Revolution-47.jpg
The most exciting part was when the wrestling action happened outside the ring directly in front of us.

Philippine Wrestling Revolution-48.jpg
It was chaos, but they were able to confine the commotion.

Philippine Wrestling Revolution-45.jpg
The fight ended in a no contest.

PWR CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: “BEAUTIFUL” BILLY SUEDE defeated CHRIS PANZER

Philippine Wrestling Revolution-62.jpg
Chris Panzer was the main event and I can see why PWR Live attracts a good women crowd.

PWR-Champion
It was the most daring match with slams coming from the top rope …

Philippine Wrestling Revolution-64.jpg
… and submission moves that look painful.

Philippine Wrestling Revolution-72.jpg
Congratulations to Billy Suede for winning the match and proclaimed Kampeon ng Pilipinas!
