D.I.Y. POKE (/poʊˈkeɪ/) is a Hawaiian-inspired Poke place by Mariah Pobre and her Enderun partners. It is located at Madison Galeries, the new boutique mall in Alabang. Poke refers to a raw fish salad or sushi bowl with Asian-inspired sauces. The name is a Hawaiian verb that means "to cut crosswise into pieces".
Every new year starts with a resolution to eat more healthy and to become a better version of yourself. So we're kicking off the year with a healthy bowl of Poke and send out healthy vibes to all our OAP friends.
Here's what we think of D.I.Y. Poke…
Madison Galeries is a boutique mall in Alabang Hills, which you can access via the service road in between Sucat and Alabang. It's in the same neighborhood as Bar Pintxos.
Take note that the mall is only open until 9pm.
D.I.Y. Poke is located on the second floor amidst a variety of dining choices. What sets it apart is that it's the only healthy spot and is unique to the mall.
The ambiance is maaliwalas, with a simple DIY assembly counter on one end and dining tables on the other.
Love this colorful surfer mural, which sets the mood for the Hawaiian feel.
You can customize your own Poke (P295-P400) or you can choose from their signature Poke bowls (P210 to 250). Check out the D.I.Y. Poke Menu.
You choose what base you like–rice, salad or chips–and then your raw seafood, sauce and dressing, side of vegetables or fruits, and Asian-inspired toppings.
The poke bowl is assembled and mixed in front of you while you wait.
DIY Poke Bowl Large (P410). 4 scoops of Poke, 3 sauces, 5 sides, and 5 toppings.
We like the spicy tuna and unagi on a bed of salad with their unagi, sojang, and cheese sauces. Don't forget to add carrots, cucumber, seaweeds, ebiko, and wasabi.
You can choose from their signature rice poke bowls (Sumo or California Bowl) or salad poke bowl (Summer and Health Bowl), or the chips poke bowl.
Cherry Blossom Bowl (Large – P235)
We ordered the Poke Bowl with chips, tuna, and octopus (we replaced the salmon), and a spicy-sweet kimchi sauce.
I actually like this combination because of the texture of the chips, the combination of seaweed and kimchi flavors, and the good raw seafood.
Cheers to an awesome, prosperous, and healthy 2017 to all our OAP friends!
Overall, DIY POKE is a good place to go to for a healthy sushi bowl when you happen to be in the Alabang Hills area (or maybe while waiting for the traffic between Sucat and Alabang to subside). It's not really a destination place so I wouldn't drive all the way just to eat here.
When you do find yourself here, order the Cherry Blossom Bowl or go ahead and customize your own Poke Bowl (it will just be a bit more expensive). Budget about P300/head.
Live an Awesome Life,

P.S. What else is good at Madison Galeries? I would love to hear your recommendations in the comments.
