Crystal Dragon

Shredded Roasted Duck wit Fresh Fruit Salad Dressing
Symbolism: The duck represents fertility while the combination of fresh fruits is said to bring wisdom, peace, gold, wealth, fertility, harmony, health, and luck.

Enjoy a new dining experience this year with the Shredded Roasted Duck with Fresh Fruit Salad, a change from the usual Prosperity Salmon Fish Yu Shang which is an equally fitting welcome for the Chinese New Year.

The colorful salad is a refreshing mix of roasted duck, jellyfish, melon, strawberry, honeydew, onion oil, peanut sauce, crackers, and peanuts. Very refreshing sweet and tangy that reminds you of a milder version of the Thai papaya salad.

Crystal Dragon

Braised Eight Sea Treasure and Shredded Vegetable Broth
Symbolism: The fish maw symbolizes abundance and the dried scallops for an opening of new horizons.

Crystal Dragon

The popular soup is generously served with chunks of crab meat, fish maw, dried scallops and sea cucumber.

Crystal Dragon

Slow-cooked Supreme Sea Cucumber with Abalone and Pork Knuckle in a Clay Pot
Symbolism: Pork knuckle is called pork hand in Chinese. It symbolizes always having an income. The abalone on the contrary signifies gold, money, and wealth.

The soft chewy-textured pork knuckle, along with the perfectly cooked abalone and the  almost melt- in-your mouth large piece of sea cucumber soaked in braised sauce, was one of our favorite dishes that one must order!

Crystal Dragon

Oven-baked Marinated Cod Fish Fillet with Fragrant Golden Garlic
Symbolism: Cod fish fillet for abundance and golden garlic for everlasting, eternity and long life.

Fish is always or a must in CNY menu, which symbolizes abundance.

Besides their traditional offering, Crystal Dragon likes to play with their fusion dishes. I liked their buttery cod fish served with refreshing pomelo and fruits to cut through the taste of the fish.

Crystal Dragon

Wok–fried King Prawns with Supreme Soy Sauce Reduction
Symbolism: Tiger prawns symbolizes joyful, liveliness, prosperity, and rich in mineral.

Perfectly cooked prawns with a good sauce.

Crystal Dragon

Roasted Chicken Roll filled with Foie Gras and Wild Mushrooms
Symbolism: Chicken for prosperity, the togetherness of the family and joy. Wild truffles symbolizing longevity

The truffles were a good touch, but we wished we could have tasted more of the Foie Gras in the dish.

Crystal Dragon

Wok-fried Shanghai Rice Cake Sliced with Selected Sea Food
Symbolism: Rice cakes signifying safety, good fortune and ‘sweeten’ the new year. Fish fillet for abundance and prawns for liveliness

The seafood goes well with the chewy rice cake noodle.

Crystal Dragon

Three-flavor Chinese New Year Nian Gao Platter
Symbolism: Steamed Dried Shredded Coconut Nian Gao – promoting togetherness
Deep Fried Rice Net Water Chestnut Cake – good fortune, unity
Cashew Nuts Broken Red Bean Paste Pandan Roll – gold, money

Crystal Dragon has their creative take on the traditional nan gao (tikoy). The desserts had just the right amount of sweetness and stickiness for you to perfectly enjoy the three.

Crystal Dragon

Their Chinese New Year Menu goes for P 3,476.42 net per person. I loved the Duck salad, the Sea Cucumber, Abalone and Pork Knuckle in a Clay Pot and the Oven-baked Cod Fish Fillet.
