Alila Seminyak’s unique architecture was designed by Gaurang Khemka of the award-winning Singaporean architectural firm, URBNarc.

The resort is a mesclun of contemporary design and tropical accents like wall-hugging vines. The minimalist in me is at ease with clean and simple architecture that allows visual breathing space.

Adhering to their strict energy-efficient and environmentally conscious philosophies, Alila Seminyak’s corridors and public spaces rely on the natural ventilation of the wind.

The resort uses locally sourced, repurposed materials. Even if the upkeep can be challenging, the staff works hard to keep the accents in good condition. Everywhere you go, you’ll find at least one or two of the maintenance crew polishing the woodwork.

At the beachside area two public pools and bars where you can relax in style. The ambiance here is so casual and inviting.

THE SUITES

Alila Seminyak’s stylish suites can accommodate anywhere from 2 to 9 occupants. Accommodations are are the following: Superior Room, Deluxe Room, Deluxe Garden Suite, Deluxe Ocean Suite, Alila Ocean Suite, Club Suite, Beach Suite, Penthouse. All rooms feature complimentary wifi access (which is quite fast), a 40’’ LCD Smart TV, Air Conditioning, ambient lighting with energy saving options, mini bar with an espresso maker, hairdryer and complimentary bath essentials, and in-room safe.

During my stay, I got to experience a little bit of the Penthouse and Deluxe Garden Suite.

RATES

The average range per night is anywhere from PHP 18,000 to PHP 240,000 (approximately USD 400 to USD 4,000).

PENTHOUSE

Heralded as the resort’s most luxurious suite, the penthouse has 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, living room, dining room, kitchen, sun deck, terrace, and private infinity pool.

I won’t forget to mention the scenic view you and your family will have of the horizon. You’re in for a real treat during sundown.

The spacious sun deck is a perfect place to get your healthy dose of Vitamin D—just don’t forget your sunscreen!

The living room is a great blend of cozy and modern. I really love how minimal Alila is with their interiors, with only a few color accents here and there to complement the earth tones.

What’s also really great about the dining table is that it helps facilitate conversation, making this place ideal for family and friends.

The main bathroom includes complimentary Alila bath essentials, a jacuzzi, rain shower, and balcony.

Bathing has never been so luxurious.

The kitchen is small, but efficient. While Alila itself has excellent food, I still like how visitors are given the option to cook their own meals.

DELUXE GARDEN SUITE

The homey Deluxe Garden Suite may not have the coveted view of the ocean, but its got its own private garden area where you can catch up on some reading.

The garden is sequestered from the rest of the area, giving you the luxury of privacy.

The bathtub is equipped with a extendable shower head and bath salts, while the shower area (adjacent to the bathtub) has the soap, shampoo, and conditioner.

Outside the bathroom is the vanity table stocked with Alila’s special lemongrass scented toiletries. You can find a hairdryer, laundry bag, and hangers in the nearby wardrobe.

The mini bar is fully equipped with a small fridge, Illy Coffee Capsules, Tea, Espresso Maker, and snacks.

Alila Seminyak, without a doubt, is one of the most beautiful resorts I’ve been to. From its sprawling coastline, striking sunsets, top-notch amenities, sustainable practices, and great food, Alila offers you only the best of Bali.
