π BREAKFAST & PIES is an all-day breakfast cafe by Chef Edward Bugia and partners, who believe in making mornings delicious. The original π (Pi) bakery is located on 39 Malingap St. in QC, with its first branch in The Grove by Rockwell, Pasig.
We recently went on a Hotel Aruga staycation at The Grove and truly enjoyed our Pi Breakfast & Pies morning.
Here are our favorites and what you can expect for breakfast…
Breakfast Menu: Pancakes, Gourmet Waffles, Grains, Sides, Beverages | All-Day Breakfast | Pies | Breads and Pastries
They have an extensive selection of all-day rice meals, pancakes & gourmet waffles, freshly baked breads, and signature pastries.
The breads are baked early in the morning at their Malingap store and sent to The Grove branch before it opens at 7am.
My all time favorite is the Spanish bread and their different ensaymada flavors.
We also love the cheese roll, which is a big loaf with a long piece of cheese inside and butter with sugar on top.
✮ Caramelized Spam (P265) served with garlic fried rice, kimchee, five-minute egg, pesto, and scallions.
This is our family’s favorite. The Spam is cut into cubes, sweetened, and fried. Eat it with a piece of egg and lots of rice.
The beef brisket is cured in brine in-house and served in cubes instead of in shreds. We like the balanced saltiness and the tasty strands of beef.
Sweet, lean wagyu beef with hints of kimchi to cut through its sweetness. This is good too but overshadowed by the spam and corned beef.
If you can’t decide, then this plate is for you.
Something light and different for those who don’t want to eat rice for breakfast.
Banana Nutella Cream Cheese Waffles (P165). Nutella and cream cheese frosting topped with banana.
Perfect combination of flavors. Best to save this waffle as a pre-dessert.
I like the salty contrast from the bacon and how each pancake is packed and not airy.
If you like your pie citrusy and light with a good layer of graham crust, order this.
Go for this if you like a peanut butter, chocolate, and honey flavor combination.
Smores π (P145/slice). Homemade marshmallow, chocolate fudge, graham crust.
For the smores-loving kids and kids-at-heart. You’ll love the marshmallow and thick choco fudge layer.
Our favorite! It’s like eating a yema cake with Momofuku milk and a nice oat crust.
A beautiful way to start your day with awesome Pinoy breakfast and pie options.
I recommend the Caramelized Spam, Beef Brisket Corned Beef, and The Elvis. Most of the pastries are good, too. Our favorites are the Spanish Bread, Ensaymada, and the Cheese Roll. For the pies, we like the Smack π Pie best (it’s so good that you’ll smack the person next to you). 😛
Budget about P500/head for a hearty power breakfast when you are in The Grove by Rockwell area.
Live an Awesome Life,
