FAT is a comfort food restaurant featuring "fat" food conceptualized by Chef Mikel Zaguirre of Locavore fame. Renee Figueroa, the owner of Izumi Sake Bar, decided to revamp the concept into what is now one of the most talked about restaurants in Burgos Circle in BGC.
We tried FAT twice, first with the family and then with Team OAP, and here's what we think about it…

So the OAP team (Our Awesome Planet team) filled their bellies with Nasi Goreng and noodles from Bakmi Nyonya, Baby Back Ribs and Cheesy Potato Balls from Ace’s Cuisine, genuine Burrito and Chicken Quesadillas from Olvera’s, delectable Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream from Lava Ice Cream Café, and Angus Beef Salpicao from Auntie May’s.

We tried the unique dishes one can find at Tuscany, ranging from a variety of Spanish tapas, genuine New York bagels, wet Mexican burritos, flavorful bacon chips, and delightful wines paired with Filipino street food.

EARTH KITCHEN is a farm-to-table restaurant concept from Got Heart Foundation by Melissa Yeung, in partnership with Hizon’s Catering by Chef David Hizon and Chef JR Trani. It serves relatively healthier, yummy comfort food, with ingredients coming from Got Heart Farms in Tarlac and marginalized communities from Luzon to Mindanao.
They decided to transfer their Kitchen 56 Makati branch in Sunshine Place to BHS Centrale (where Tampopo used to be). This is the second branch after their flagship store along Katipunan Avenue, White Plains in QC.

SINGLE ORIGIN is a one-stop neighborhood café in BGC, serving all-day Western breakfast, coffee, craft beers, and spirits by the Nikkei group. Its name is a tribute to Single Origin coffees.
I thought it was just a coffee and drinking place but I was surprised that it’s actually family friendly and serves good meat dishes.
