First LEGO® Certified Store in the Philippines in BGC near Kidzania by Aidan! @LEGO_Group

by AIDAN DIAZ (Aidan’s First Blog Post!)

Lego Store Philippines-3.jpg
This is the first LEGO store in the Philippines. It’s a bit expensive but is a fair deal.

There are some newly released Lego sets like Simpsons, some old ones like Ninja Go and Star Wars, and some hard to find Lego sets like Minecraft.

There are tables where you can play Duplo and see Legos in display cases. You can engrave your names on bricks, and you can choose the color of the brick and the text.

Let me tour you around the first Lego Certified Store in the Philippines:

TAPENADE: Mediterranean Goodness and The Salad Room at Discovery @PrimeaMakati!

Update 4/10/2019: TAPENADE: The Best of TAPENADE Restaurant

Tapenade, Discovery Primea-45.jpg
TAPENADE is the all-day Mediterranean dining restaurant of the newly opened Discovery Primea in Makati. It is named after the centuries-old Mediterranean recipe of olives, capers, olive oil, and anchovies.

The concept comes from the insight that Filipinos love Mediterranean cuisine as much as Chinese cuisine–if you count the number of Chinese restos vs. the collective number of all Mediterranean restos (including Italian, French, Spanish, Greek, etc.) in Manila.

It’s refreshing to see these newer hotels elevate their restaurant concepts and not just going the usual all-day buffet route.

Here are some tips on having an awesome time at Tapenade…

Ground Floor, Discovery Primea

TERRY’S SALCEDO: Chef Juan Carlos de Terry x Brandy de Jerez Dinner! @MadridFusionMNL

JC Terry Dinner-120.jpg
It was the night before the opening of Madrid Fusion Manila; Chef Juan Carlos de Terry hosted a Spanish dinner with Brandy de Jerez pairing.

Brandy de Perez is a protected designation of origin for brandy that is only produced in the Jerez area of Andalusia, Spain. This appellation include the “sherry triangle” of  Jerez de la Frontera, El Puerto de Santa María and Sanlúcar de Barrameda, in the province of Cádiz (where Chef JC Terry originally comes from).
