FARMACY is a soda fountain and homemade ice cream spin-off shop from the Wild Flour group. It’s a throwback to the turn of the 19th century, when people thought that carbonated water was a cure-all and when soda made its way into pop culture.

They offer a healthy dose of deliciousness for foodies looking for a happy ending.

We brought the boys for an ice cream and dessert treat at Farmacy, and here’s our experience…

The highlight of the interiors is the long dessert bar counter with the antique medicine cabinet.

They make the ice cream in-house, at the far end of the restaurant.

The boys had fun tasting all the flavors they liked with the small silver spoons, and then shooting the used ones into the dirty spoon jar afterwards.

A simple, eco-friendly approach to tasting that every ice cream shop should adapt.

The sorbet is very smooth and not icy, with actual flavors of fruit that you can taste.

Aidan wanted calamansi for some reason. He was happy with his ice cream choice that came in a cone.

My ginger ale with bubbles was just OK.

Hazelnut Single Scoop (P130)

You can order a single scoop of ice cream for take out in a small cup. I was disappointed to see that the servers didn’t wear gloves and their bare hands were in contact with the ice cream from time to time.

You can also order a pint of any ice cream flavor to go for P350.

You can turn any ice cream into a milkshake with add-ons like malted milk. This was good!

The classic sundae was decadent, and each individual ingredient was good on its own.

They don’t have any meals at the moment. They only have cookies and donuts, which can be used for ice cream sandwiches or as add-ons to the sundae.

I love this homegrown soda fountain and homemade ice cream shop concept that isn’t your usual colorful shop for kids. Its main target are adults and elevates the dessert experience in Manila.

The ice cream is just OK, but their dessert concoctions of milkshakes and sundaes are worth the visit and extra calories. Budget about P300 per kid and the kid-at-heart.

Overall, a great after-dinner hang out and dessert bar place in the BGC area.

Congratulations to the Wild Flour group for another winning concept!
