The Big Banquet 2: Get Ready for More!

One of the ingredients of a successful celebration is the abundance of a variety of delicious food. Whether you’ve just walked down the aisle with the love of your life, blew 18 candles off your three-layer cake, or put together a great party for your seven-year-old, you’d want to share a wonderful meal with your nearest and dearest.

The Blue Leaf Filipinas, one of the country’s premier venues for weddings, debuts, and other milestone events, presents The Big Banquet 2 in cooperation with Our Awesome Planet, the number one food and travel blog in the Philippines. Set amidst a garden landscape with a five-meter waterwall, The Blue Leaf Filipinas takes pride in its world-class architectural design featuring capiz doors, abaca chandeliers, and a barandilla balcony. It offers three festival- inspired halls alongside three music-themed function rooms.

Following the success of The Big Banquet last May 2014, The Blue Leaf brings back this one-of-a-kind food tasting event on October 12, 2014, Sunday, at The Blue Leaf Filipinas in ASEANA City.

BERLIN: Meeting SupperClub Founder at Hüttenpalast Caravan-Hotel in Hipster District of Neukölln @VisitBerlin

Neukölln is the hipster area of Berlin, with the highest percentage of immigrants. It’s a new, gentrified area and home of the first Caravan-Hotel concept–Hüttenpalast. I’ve always wanted to see this area to get some new ideas and inspirations.

This was also the perfect backdrop for meeting Nikolai Schmidt, Managing Director of

BERLIN: An Awesome Underground Supper Clubbing Experience in Berlin! @SupperClubbing

Supper Clubbing Berlin-52.jpg

Supper Clubbing is a private dining activity aimed at introducing new people to each other and experiencing different cultures and food in the comfort of other people’s homes. It started as an underground restaurant tradition in Cuba and later expanded to the US and Europe as a social dining experience.

In Manila, we have our own supper clubs but in various forms–organized private dining, guerilla dinners, and food trips. Take note, it’s Supper Clubs (with a double ‘P’) and not Super Club, which refers to the Night Clubbing experience.

In Berlin, you can join a supper club via to learn more about the food, culture, and the hospitality of Berliners.

ERI CURRY: Customize-Your-Own Curry by Chef Erica @Eri_Curry @SMMegaMall

ERI CURRY by Chef Erica-9.jpg

ERI CURRY is a local Japanese curry brand concept by Chef Erica, a Filipina Chef who grew up in Japan and is very passionate about Japanese food. Its name means Goddess of Curry, and is also unofficially inspired by the name of the chef.

The Japanese Curry craze is still not taking off in Manila because of its strong curry flavor that Filipinos aren’t familiar with. Eri Curry aims to address this by having a sweeter, more Filipinized curry flavor, a Customize-Your-Own Curry option, and a Chef/Model to promote the brand.

Here’s our Eri Curry experience…
