COVENT GARDEN is a historic building converted into a shopping centre in 1980. It’s famous for its cute cafes, pubs, small stalls, a craft market called Apple Market, and a tiangge called Jubilee Hall.
It’s popular among Filipinos looking for a bargain and a cool place to eat before watching a show on the West End. According to Pepper, this is also the best place for Forex if you’re looking for a high exchange rate for your dollar.

WHERE TO EAT
TUTTONS is one of the most popular and long standing British restaurants in Covent Garden.
Here’s an overview of our Tuttons experience: TUTTONS: Traditional British Restaurant @TuttonsLondon, Covent Garden
PORTERS is what I imagined a traditional English Pub experience would feel like.
Take a look at our experience at Porters: PORTERS: English Restaurant & Pub since 1979 @ Covent Garden @UKinPhilippines @AsifAAhmad
Even Shake Shack looks cool here at Covent Garden.
At night, the al fresco area is the best place to hang out (that is, if you can handle the cold).
You can also check out Jaime Oliver’s Italian Covent Garden restaurant.

COVENT GARDEN CENTRAL BUILDING
There are small, cute stalls around Covent Garden. If you love shopping, you’ll never get bored going around the area.
The hallways are well-decorated and organized.
There’s a dining area at the lower level where people can hang out.
I love the classical music playing in the background that resonates throughout the hall.
There are street performers who try hard to please the crowd.
Make sure to visit the Crafts Market for handmade goodies for pasalubong.
My wife will surely like looking for her little abubot and butingting in this place.
Be sure to also drop by Jubilee Market Hall, just beside the Central Building.
JUBILEE MARKET HALL
It’s a bargain market where you can haggle for good prices for pasalubong.
Take advantage of the high forex rate here if you are planning to exchange your dollars.
There are arts and crafts stalls where you can buy…
… leather goods and handmade products.
This is also the place to buy British shirt souvenirs…
…different toys and board games…
I always love to buy local delicacies as pasalubong from this local confectionary shop.
This shop sells English fudge, toffees, and different model cars.
Make sure to buy the model cars that are Made in England (some are cheap models from China).
You can have a slice of the different fudge bars to get a taste. I like the Malted Chocolate Ball…
…and the Clotted Cream and Chocolate Cream Fudge.
Make sure you try the different toffee flavors, too. I like the Rum & Butter and Chocolate.
