This is the best sisig I have ever tasted — it’s healthy, certified vegetarian, and as yummy as the original version. 🙂 V Deli serves it shawarma-style, wrapped in pita, and can be eaten on the go.
I’m excited that vegetarian food won the #5 spot in Ultimate Taste Test XI! They have proven that vegetarian food can be fun and yummy, and not bland and boring as some expect it to be.

The Story of The V DELI’s Veggie Sisig Shawarma
The owners of The V Deli, aside from selling vegetarian products, are vegetarians and also operating Sophia School in Meycauayan City Bulacan which promotes Meatless Monday. As it is, they thought of ways on how the children in the said school will eat vegetables and vegetarian products. Consequently, they have come up with Veggie Sisig (with 3 variants such as Veggie Sisig Shawarma, Veggie Sisig Quesadillas, and Veggie Sisig Sizzler) since the traditional sisig is one of the favorite food of Filipinos.
People will love our Veggie Sisig because it is healthy and it has NO cholesterol, preservatives/ MSG/artificial flavoring/color. It is also delicious to the extent that it can equal if not surpass the real meat sisig.
Meanwhile, it is made of textured vegetable protein (vegetable fiber made to taste like meat), tofu, mushrooms, and a lot of vegetables.
