Celebrating Life at Stuffed: A Thanksgiving Food Festival

It may not be common for Filipinos to bring out the turkey and pumpkin pie when November rolls around, but that doesn’t stop The Grove by Rockwell and Our Awesome Planet from throwing a one-of-a-kind Thanksgiving get-together. Celebrating the best of family, food, and community at Stuffed: A Thanksgiving Food Festival, over 20 concessionaries curated by Our Awesome Planet will line The Grove by Rockwell Community Center on November 15-17.

In light of the recent tragedy that has ravaged the Visayas region, diners also have the choice to help out, with The Grove serving as a receiving station for donations for victims of Typhoon Yolanda. The community and guests are invited to bring items such as rice, canned goods, noodles, coffee, water, toiletries, and medicine, which will benefit those affected by the storm, through the ABS-CBN Sagip Kapamilya Foundation and the Lopez Group Foundation.

You don’t have to wait until Christmas to take your friends and family to a feast of gustatory delights and a celebration of life’s greatest treasures. Presented by San Miguel Lifestyle Brews, Stuffed! will feature sweet treats from Baked by Anita, Risa Chocolates, The Fruit Garden, Symphony of Flavors Bakeshop; mouthwatering temptations from Chef Anton’s Turkey, General’s Lechon, Crunchy Belly, Gigabite, Esses, The Plaza, Goldenduck’s Premium Duck Products, Franchino, Tamayaki, and Barley Gastropub. Adding to the weekend’s delightful fare, The Souq Organics will be offering premium bath and body products perfect for each member of the family.

  1. Not too crowded like similar food bazaars which is actually good because it is comfortable to scour all booths and eat! Me and my friends loved Sanmig beer with value for money foods like chicken skin/Crunchy belly, maki sandwich/Eses and their cute cakepops, and curried seafood balls/Franchino! Come night time there were more patrons and live music was played…

  2. That photo with a list of restaurants to eat at this weekend for the benefit of Yolanda victims – the photo with the paper boat – is from Pepper.ph, isn’t it? They posted it on November 13 >> http://www.pepper.ph/yolanda-victims/
Hope you can give proper credit to the photos you grab from other sites and own them as yours (when I drag the cursor on the photo it says “YolandaActionWeekend by OUR AWESOME PLANET, and when I click on the photo it will direct me to your Flickr account) … Now don’t you think there’s something wrong with that?
There is much appreciation however for the online community to be spreading all these for a great cause. Thoughts and prayers still go out to the victims of Super typhoon Yolanda. And for that, thank you!

  3. Yes, that image was suppose to be the official poster for the #YolandaActionWeekend created by pepper.ph with a permission to be downloaded and shared by the group. Will link it back and put the credits. Thanks for the feedback.
