We love CINQ’s tarts because they’re proudly made using natural and local ingredients, the caramel and sponges are made from scratch, and they come in a unique form and presentation. They’re a great dessert gift for this holiday season. 🙂

The Story of CINQ Dessert Boutique’s Dayap and Chocolate Tart

About CINQ Dessert Boutique
Angela Villoria Tolentino studied pastry making in Manila, France, and the USA. Here are some of her exquisite cakes and pastries made from only the finest fresh and natural ingredients. No pre-mixed/commercially purchased fillings and cake mixes. Sponges are made from scratch, fruit coulis made from real fruit, and caramels all made fresh.

CINQ endeavors to go back to the basic principles of pastry making where quality and taste come first. We do this by using only REAL ingredients like cream, butter, and chocolate and keep away from using substitutes from hydrogenated fats and pre-mixed pastry preparations.

AURORE (Chocolate Tart). Belgian chocolate ganache, macadamias, caramel vanille, sweet pastry dough.

HistoryAurore is a friend from school in France.  She is very beautiful, sweet and mostly, kind. A beauty with substance.  She is the inspiration behind the tart.  Very simple and elegant looking but very rich in flavor.  People whom have tried this tart loved it and has become one of my best sellers.

LIGAYA (Dayap Tart). Dayap custard on a graham cracker base.

History:  LIGAYA was borne out of my desire to create a Filipino dessert.  LIGAYA is a very Filipino name and it was the first name that came to mind when naming this dessert.  

I just LOVE the strong and distinct flavor of the Philippine lime.  It is mostly used in the provinces when making leche flan.  I thought the dayap has been long in the background and it was its time to shine.
