Dear friends,
Since our very first Expo Mom event in 2008, we at Mommy Mundo have advocated entrepreneurship among our community of young, active modern moms. Expo Mom, as well as our other mom-focused events, provided mompreneurs with a venue not only to sell their products and services, but also test it and gain valuable feedback among the niche target market that the event successfully attracts.
Expo Mom has since become known as “the mompreneur market”, a virtual “laboratory” or breeding ground for the most exciting mom and baby products, and more importantly, it has become a community of the most creative and passionate moms in business.
As Mommy Mundo continues to work hard to support mompreneurs through its expos, publications and other initiatives, its other main goal is to provide them with venues for support and information which would enable them to grow their business, be updated on marketing trends, and also to live balanced lives!
Thus, on September 15, 2012, we are set to hold the very first business conference specially geared towards the needs of mom entrepreneurs. THINK BIG: The 1st MOMPRENEUR SUMMIT will feature info-packed talks by top influencers in entrepreneurship, marketing and the internet.  With the support of its co-presentor, PLDT KaAsenso, THINK BIG! will be a gathering of mompreneurs and aspiring mompreneurs set to take their business to the next level through proper visioning, planning and strategy.
Registration fees are as follows:
P3,000 per person inclusive of conference kit, lunch, morning and afternoon snacks
Thank you also so much for always supporting Mommy Mundo initiatives!

Chef Bambi Sy Gobio’s Private Thanksgiving Dinner @ Damaso Residencia :)

Chef Bambi's-13.jpg

We had a fun Thanksgiving Dinner with our foodie blogger friends at Chef Bambi Sy Gobio‘s private dining place. Eating turkey has somehow become a symbol of appreciating our relationships with family and friends, and a celebration of thanksgiving for all our blessings.

It was inspired by the Thanksgiving dinner in the US celebrated every last Thursday of November.

In Manila, the dinners are usually held on a Thursday and not necessarily in conjunction with a special occasion. You can hold it at your own house or organize a private dinner.

Life is short, so it’s best to celebrate your relationships now with your friends and family.

Here’s our Private Thanksgiving Dinner at Chef Bambi Sy Gobio’s beautiful Swiss Chalet home…

#Restaurants, Bonifacio Global City (da-you-deh) tea lounge and secret menu

Update 12/9/14: BGC is now closed and moved to SM Aura Food Hall. tea lounge-7.jpg, pronounced as da – you – deh, is the first tea lounge in Manila by Renée Sebastian, the 1st Certified Tea Master™ in the Philippines. The tea lounge gets its name from the frontal cloth of the bahag worn by tribes in the Cordilleras, usually adorned with a tribal mark.

It all started in New York City where Renée was selling in New York’s Upper West Side Sunday Market for 8 years. She decided to go back to Manila and set up shop in Salcedo Market and Mercato Centrale @ BGC as test markets.

Finally, she opened her dream tea lounge and partnered with the talented Chef Ramon Antonio to offer yummy, tea-infused food. 🙂

We tried and here’s our experience…

DISNEY LIVE! Mickey’s Rockin’ Road Show

(Official Press Release of Disney Live! Mickey’s Rockin’ Road Show)

Disney Live! Mickey’s Rockin’ Road Show, Feld Entertainment’s all-new live stage production starring Mickey Mouse in a fun-filled road trip and talent search adventure, performs at Smart Araneta Coliseum from September 5 to 15, 2012!

Spotlighting favorite Disney characters such as the ever-lovable Tigger;

Cinderella and her comical stepsisters; and

Buzz Lightyear, Woody and friends from Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story;

Disney Live! Mickey’s Rockin’ Road Show unfolds through an original, laugh-out-loud storyline that whisks audiences away on a wacky journey.

Produced by Kenneth Feld and Alana Feld, the show revolves around a one-of-a-kind, unpredictable road trip as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy and Donald spontaneously attempt to round up amazing acts for their talent show.

Thanks to Mickey’s fantastical bus, they are able to soar over mountains and plunge underwater to complete their search for performers. Through the incorporation of a giant video screen and multiple scenic projection panels, audiences are able to enjoy a truly visual experience as the scenic backdrop takes them through country hillsides, a cactus-filled desert, a royal village and other picturesque locales.

“What really sets Disney Live! Mickey’s Rockin’ Road Show apart is that it incorporates classic Disney characters into a set of silly ‘cartoon rules’ where anything can happen and fun knows no boundaries,” says Producer Kenneth Feld. “Families get to create lasting memories as they embark on a thrilling, high-energy, theatrical excursion with their favorite Disney friends, right in their hometown.”

Disney Live! Mickey’s Rockin’ Road Show spotlights beloved characters performing a variety of talents as they sing and dance to a mix of hip Disney tunes. Audiences can join Cinderella as she performs “Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo”; hoot and holler at a hoedown with Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear; and bounce along with Tigger to “The Whoop-De-Dooper Bounce.

“As Mickey and his pals team up to put on their show,” says Producer Alana Feld, “the audience will experience all the excitement, humor, hijinks and spontaneity inherent in both road trips and talent shows. They will be reminded of the fun that ensues when friends work together.”
