Daniele’s Casa Mia Italian Restaurant – Bellini’s of the South

Filipinos just love pizza. It’s a good thing then that Manila is now being invaded by international pizza franchises (i.e. Papa John’s) and different pizza concepts (like a Pizza Bar, etc.).

We love pizza, too, but we like the old-school Italian pizzas — cooked with love in traditional brick ovens. We are starting to check out the foodie places in the south, and one of the best pizza/pasta places we’ve tried is the authentic Italian restaurant of Daniele’s.

Daniele is the son of the couple behind Bellini’s of Cubao Expo fame. He moved the restaurant from Marikina (after being devastated by typhoon Ondoy) to a quaint little place along Sucat Road.

The resort just opened after years of being abandoned, so it would take some time before the marine life will be abundant again.

The waters were a bit rough during the December season and there were no island-hopping activities, so we just stayed within the vicinity of the island.

Apulit Island Resort Experience (formerly Club Noah)

Apulit Island Resort opened last December 2010. Formerly known as Club Noah, it is now owned by the El Nido & Ayala Group and they decided to use the actual name of the island. We’ve been long-time fans of El Nido resorts — both Miniloc and Lagen, and now the budding Apulit Resort in Taytay, Palawan.

I’ve never been to Club Noah, so we decided to immediately check out its new reincarnation, Apulit Island Resort, when it opened. Here is our experience…
