Mapawa River Trek Waterfall Challenge (2 of 5 Series)
[Mapawa River Trek is one of the awesome adventures that await you in Cagayan de Oro, where you follow the natural path of the Mapawa River through Five Waterfall Challenges. Can you conquer your fear and survive the Mapawa River Trek?!]
The second waterfall challenge needs the use of ropes for safety purposes because the water current is too strong…
On the way to the second challenge, you have to cross a few streams, climb down a few boulders…
… and slide down occassionally. Guides are everywhere to help you every step of the way.
The team looking over the second water challenge… (Can we conquer it?)
After setting up the rope system, Iggy Pelaez demonstrates how to go down the short but strong waterfall.
Some people prefer to goof off while waiting for their turn to go down…
What to do? You grab on to two ropes while walking backwards and down the waterfall.
Even kids can easily hurdle this challenge…
There is a tendency to lose one’s balance due to the strong currents of the waterfall.
