Museo Pambata is an interactive children’s museum that aims to teach kids through hands-on experience and interaction with its exhibits. Every Filipino child should visit this museum to learn our Filipino Heritage through displays that they can see, hear and feel. In the Old Manila exhibit, kids can experience riding a tranvia, boarding a Spanish Galleon ship, or stepping into a miniature cathedral. Don’t miss going to the Heroes Circle where you can share inspiring stories about our national and contemporary heroes.
One of the children’s favorites is the Body Works exhibit where they can enter through a large-scale mouth and explore the different functions of the organs through life-size models. Other exhibits include a Science Through Discovery exhibit, where kids can play junior scientists and experiment on their own; a Career Options exhibit, where kids can explore different sports athlete career options; and the Craft Room, where kids can unleash their creativity in a fun way.
The best time to go is on Saturday morning, when storytelling sessions and shadow puppet shows of favorite children’s stories are held. Always check the Museo Pambata Website (www.museopambata.org) for events before you go. Average budget would be P100/person as entrance fee to the museum.
