FIGARO: Reinventing the Coffee Shop to a Filipino Café Concept?

oap 25

Figaro Coffee is a proudly Filipino coffee chain and is one of the most successful to grow on a global scale. Their vision has always been to support our farmers and promote high-quality, local coffee beans.

The coffee shop has been around since 1993 and is the brainchild of a group of coffee enthusiasts who dreamt of a café where they could entertain people while enjoying a great cup of coffee and delicious pastries. Its name comes from the male lead in the opera "The Barber of Seville" and encompasses the whole Italian and European concept they were going for.

Recently, Figaro decided to launch its new menu and Figaro Café store to cater to the evolving market while still staying passionately committed to boosting the local coffee industry.

Here's what to expect from the new and improved Figaro Coffee...

SAGANA Epicerie & Bistro: Sustainable French Food by Chef Marc Aubry in Manila (REVIEW)

Sagana26

Sagana Epicerie and Bistro is the latest Farm-to-Family French restaurant concept by Chef Marc Aubry. Located in the same spot as his old bistro, Champetre, Chef Marc still offers French food but now highlights farm-fresh, organic, and locally-sourced ingredients.

Make no mistake though, despite its Filipino-sounding name, Sagana is a full-fledged French restaurant. It doesn’t try to make anything Filipino.

“Sagana” refers to abundance and is a fitting tribute to the rich produce and diverse ingredients of the Philippines.

Here’s what we loved about Sagana…

JING TING: Craving for Northern Chinese Noodles & Dumplings in Manila? @CityofDreamsPH

Jing Ting-25.jpg

JING TING is a 92-seater Northern Chinese Cuisine casual restaurant by the City of Dreams group, located at the upper ground level of the COD retail area.

Its name means “a little house” or “resting place” and is inspired by Northern Chinese “Hutongs.” A Hutong is a gathering place in an alley lined with gray-tiled houses and buildings in a traditional residential city in China like Beijing.

It's a cool new place to eat in City of Dreams, especially when you're craving for Northen-style dimsum and hand-pulled noodles, Beijing Style.

Here's what to expect and what to order in Jing Ting...
