Back for 2nds, Definitely!

2nd's-6
Chef Mikko's Buffalo Bacon Chicharon
(P285 +10% service charge)
.

2nd's is a great place to hang out with friends, while enjoying food and a single malt whisky. Its laid-back vibe is certainly inviting.

There, they serve comfort food and unique dishes like the crispy fried bacon with its tangy buffalo flavor and blue cheese. With food like that, they make sure you come back for 2nds after your first visit. :)

L'Entrecôte, Manila: Steak and Fries Every Time You Visit?

Lentrecote-25
US Entrecôte Steak with a Special, Secret Herb Butter Sauce & Frites.

The L'Entrecôte concept originated in Geneva. It is  also the popular nickname of an iconic group of restaurants by the Gineste de Saurs family that serves only Steak and Pommes Frites ("french fries" in Europe).

Gratitude, more than just a restaurant?

gratitude cafe-108

"Whenever you say thank-you from your heart, more is bestowed on you,

for gratitude is a key to opening the doors to univeral abundance."

I like the concept of the Gratitude restaurant, which is actually more of a venue for personal wellness/spiritual community. It is like a healthy/vegetarian restaurant with a

Brahma Kumaris kind of vibe

and with "Jaime Lichauco"-type of seminars also.

The place has a spiritual feel without leaning towards any religion. Every Friday, you can even attend a meditation session, and occasionally, you can attend seminars on reading one's aura or getting to know your angels (for FREE).

The food is healthy -- complete with nutritional information, but sadly it does not deliver much on the yummy taste. Average price for the food is P200+. I think more time was devoted to developing the overall branding rather than the quality of the food. I have some ideas or suggestions on how to improve it...

Overall, this is our type of neighborhood place to hang out, especially with like-minded individuals who are not afraid to be open in terms of their spirituality and preference for healthy food.

The Goose Station's Degustation

The Goose Station (pronounced as De-Gus-Tation)

1. A Degustation Restaurant by Celebrity Chef Couple, Rob and Sunshine Pengson
2. Named after Rob, whose College Monicker was "The Goose"
3. Named after Sunshine's love for Foie Gras (Duck Liver)
4. Last Featured in OAP: Sunshine Puey, Goddess of Degustation and Roberto Pengson, Culinary Kung Fu Master

It was a clever play of words from Rob, who wanted the name of their restaurant to be more down-to-earth rather than snobbish. Finally, the couple's dream restaurant came true after doing monthly degustation dinners at Rob's Global Academy Culinary School in Pasig. It is located on the ground floor of W Tower residences, in a secret part of Bonifacio Global City, near St. Michael the Archangel Church.

Kirin Chinese Dining

Kirin is the only Chinese restaurant in the Serendra and Boni High Street area that is worth trying out. They serve Hongkong Cantonese-style dishes that are pwede na. For me, the Best Chinese Restaurant in Bonifacio Global City is Eat Well! Delicious Kitchen, followed by Zhu Chinese Cuisine and next would be Kirin Chinese Dining. I'm not a fan of Fu despite the fact that it is associated with Hai Shin Lou. I would rather go across the street to Market! Market! and eat at Hap Chan.

The price is relatively affordable but you would notice that the serving sizes are smaller than usual. We love eating dimsum after walking around Boni High Street in the evenings, so this place hits the spot in addressing that late-night craving. Kirin is also one of the restaurants that would have a good view of the World Pyro Olympics (if you eat in the al fresco dining area).
