World Street Food Congress
1. Aloo Tikki (P200)
Manla Chaat - India

Aloo Tikki from Manla Chaat is an Indian dish made with boiled potatoes, onions, and various curry spices.

“Aloo” meaning potato and “Tikki” meaning cutlet or croquette has a crisp outside and soft inside. It's topped with different curries, beat roots, paneer cheese, carrots, radish, and various sauces, creating this spectrum of flavors from sweet, sour, savory, and spicy. A must-try!

2. Salted Egg Pork+ Fries (P270)
Hong Kong Street Old Chun Kee - Singapore

Deep-fried pork ribs smothered in addictive salted egg sauce, topped with some chili and garnish.

The salted egg yolk and pork ribs meld together beautifully, with flavors playing off each other. It comes with fries on the side.

3. Nasi Lemak with Chicken Wings (P270)
Coco Kanin by Makansutra Hawkers - Singapore

Rice-loving Filipinos will love this!

This scrumptious dish is a favorite Malaysian and Singaporean specialty made of fluffy rice infused with coconut milk, plated with fried chicken, crispy dilis, peanuts, Sayer Lodeh, cucumber, and of course, the sambal sauce.

We love its mix of colors, textures, and flavors! It's Instagram-worthy too. ;)

4. Martabak Pancake (P280, 4 slices)
Martabak Manis “San Fransisco” by Mr. Buyung
Cheese, chocolate, red velvet, Oreo, Green Tea Kitkat, Nutella Almond.

Martabak is a crispy and gummy Indonesian-Chinese-style pancake (Ming Chang Kueh). The classic martabak only uses ground peanut and chocolate, but their trendy version is buried under a pile of different chocolates and sweet toppings like Kit Kat, Orea, and Nutella.

This insanely good pancake from WSFC 2016 is back with new flavors like Red Velvet!

5. Banh Xeo (P280)
Banh Xeo Mieu Noi - Vietnam
Crispy Rice Mung Bean Pancake, Seafood, Greens, and Fish Sauce.

The savory Vietnamese pancake is made of rice flour, water, turmeric powder, fatty pork, diced green onion, bean sprouts, and shrimp.

The pancake has a chewy inside and a little crisp on the outside. What I love about it is the fresh and fragrant ingredients used that add dimension to the food.

6. Pork Trotters Black Bean Tostadas (P280)
Pasillo De Humo - Mexico

Chef Mendez hopes to be able to share traditional food from his hometown of Oaxaca with his Pork Trotters Black Bean Tostada and Fish Tacos.

Chopped up pickled pork trotters, black beans, avocado, radish, cabbage, and fresh cilantro stacked like nachos on a crispy tortilla.

Don't mistake this colorful dish for a light meal--the beans and avocados are sure to make you full!

7. Chicken Inasal in Coconut Pita Bread (P250)
Sarsa - Bacolod, Philippines

For something old yet new, Celebrity Chef JP Anglo from Bacolod brings a taste of his hometown with his creative take on the chicken inasal.

His version is Pita Bread filled with different grilled chicken parts you'd find when eating at an inasal joint--from the chicken meat to the small intestines and liver!

Don't forget to use his brainy garlic sauce & spicy langka liver dip, which is a substitute for the langgaw (local vinegar).

8. Balinese BBQ Pork Ribs with Salad (P300)
Bali BBQ Ribs “Warung Sunset” By Chef Yudi - Indonesia
Baby back ribs marinated with Asian spices and then roasted over a charcoal fire. Served with a spicy salad on the side.

A familiar taste with a Balinese twist. What makes these ribs unique are the 15-20 Indonesian herbs and spices used in creating their signature BBQ sauce.

World Street Food Congress

9. Sisig Paella (P230)
Cafe Fleur - Pampanga, Philippines
Pan Roasted Rice, Pork cheeks, Ears, Belly, Chicharon, Soy Lime, Chili.

Check out Chef Sau Del Rosario’s version of this beloved Kapampangan dish, giving Aling Lucing's creation a progressive twist with his intensely flavorful pan roasted sisig paella.

World Street Food Congress

10. Currywurst (P260)
Northern BBQ Team by Meatsmith & Friends - Germany
Handmade mixed pork & beef, ketchup, and curry powder.

Regarded as the national street food of Germany, the currywurst is your regular chunky and savory pork sausage with a touch if Indian influences.

The sausage is blended with their Original Curry Tomato Ketchup Sauce and sprinkled with curry powder.

World Street Food Congress

We also loved their drinking station where they sell ice kachang, sugar cane juice, lemongrass tea, and all San Miguel beer products!
