With the summer season rolling in, Chili’s follows suit with their new line of deliciously messy ribs that come with a Cherry Cola or Blueberry Chipotle Glaze, do-it-yourself “Skillet BBQ Sliders”, and their tasty triumvirate of chicken, salmon and pork ribs in the “Texas Trio”.

Aside from their new menu, we also got to try their bestselling items and famous Margaritas.

Triple Dipper (P525) Chicken Crispers | Buffalo Wings | Southwestern Eggrolls

Our favorites are the Southwestern Eggrolls. Wrapped in a crispy tortilla, the combination of beans, corn, spinach, cheese, and smoked chicken is addictive!

Note: You have a choice of 3 appetizers at a time—Texas Cheese Poppers, Calamari, and Crispy Onion Rings are your other options.

You can enjoy your eggrolls with any dip, but they go best with the Avocado-Ranch dressing.

Mix & Match Fajitas Trio (P725) Grilled Steak, Shrimp, and Chicken with tortillas, dips, assorted fillings.

The steak and chicken are tender and flavorful, while the shrimp are juicy. Aside from not having enough tortillas, you can’t go wrong with this Chili’s staple.

Texas Trio (P875) | New Menu Salmon on slaw with honey-chipotle sauce, ribs on mashed potatoes, grilled chicken on smoked corn relish.

Out of the trio, the Honey-Chipotle Salmon stood out the most for its well-balanced use of sweet, sour, and savory.

Skillet BBQ Sliders (P435) | New Menu Shredded Ranchero chicken, beef and pork carnitas, pickled onions, cilantro, buns, pickles, bbq sauce, and honey-chipotle sauces.

Pulled and shredded meats are all the rage in Southwestern cooking—we loved the tanginess of the pickled onions, further brought out by the house BBQ sauce. Delish!

Smothered Sirloin (P875) 8oz Sirloin with Southwestern Spices, mushroom & peppercorn sauce, steamed veggies, loaded mashed potatoes.

Aside from Chili’s infamously tasty potatoes, we really enjoyed how well the flavors of the meat and mushroom sauce fused together—a classic pairing!

The meat was slightly tough and not as juicy as the other steaks we’ve had, but the rest of the elements on the plate makes this dish a solid meal.

Classic Ribeye (P1,550) Marbled steak, seasoned butter, steamed veggies, and mashed potatoes.

Unlike the smothered sirloin, you can enjoy your steak in a purer form. The texture was still slightly tough, considering the cut of the meat.

Chipotle Blueberry Baby Back Ribs (P695 half rack, P985 full rack) | New Menu Ribs slow-roasted with pecan wood, corn, home style fries, chipotle blueberry glaze

We admire the interesting flavor profiles here, but found that the blueberry overpowered the chipotle and ribs.

Note: don’t forget to try the Cherry Cola Baby Back Ribs variety.

Grand Patron Margarita (P445) Patron Silver Tequila, Grand Marnier, Lime, Salt

Chili’s is also known for its drinks that go well with your dishes! Try the Grand Patron Margarita to help balance out your intake of greasy foods.

Blueberry & Pineapple Margarita (P295) | New Tequila, triple sec, 48-hr infused blueberries and pineapple

This cocktail is a refreshing in its sweet-sourness from the fruit, and pairs well with the Chipotle Blueberry Baby Back Ribs.

Grey Goose Lemonade (P350) Grey goose vodka, lemon juice, 7-up

The sheer simplicity of this drink made it the group favorite. The Grey Goose Lemonade is ideal for summer!

Molten Chocolate Cake (P395) Warm chocolate cake, chocolate fudge filling, vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, caramel drizzle

The meeting of two of the most popular classic flavors in the world makes the Molten Chocolate Cake our favorite dessert. We like our comfort foods sweet and simple.

Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie (P385) Oven-baked chocolate chip cookie, vanilla ice cream, hot fudge drizzle

The best part is when the cookie’s gooeyness mixes with the ice cream!

The best tasting items from our lunch at Chili’s are the Mix & Match Fajita Trio, Triple Dipper, Grey Goose Lemonade, Blueberry & Pineapple Margarita, and Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie.

We loved how everything we tasted was a unique exploration of Southwestern cooking—down from the creaminess of their mashed potatoes to the smoky flavors in their ribs.
