This is awesome!  The World’s No.1 Chefs are coming to Manila for Madrid Fusion!

This feels like the World’s 50 Best Awards happening in Manila 🙂 Here’s the confirmed line-up so far for Madrid Fusion Manila on April 7-9, 2016 at the SMX Convention Center.

Manila is set to hosts Madrid Fusion in Asia for the next 5 years which envisions to transform Manila as a Center of Culinary Excellence in Asia!

The official Memorandum of Understanding signed today November 26, 2015 for Madrid Fusion 2016 by Honorable Secretary Jimenez of the Philippine Department of Tourism and Honorable Jaime Garcia-Legaz of Secretary of State for Trade for ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones.

In 2015, Madrid Fusion Manila has a total of 22 countries and 88 exhibiting companies participating in 175 booths. There were more than 6,000 trade visitors and 1,381 congress participants.  

The International Gastronomy Congress featured 10 Michelin-star Spanish and Asian Chefs and 10 of the most respected chefs in the Philippines.

 

Madrid Fusion Manila is composed of three (3) culinary events:

1). International Gastronomy Congress (3 days)

The congress consisted of presentations on distinct menus and food preparations.

Traditional techniques and culinary practices were rediscovered and made modern and new; Interesting and unusual ingredients were revealed and explored;  and The latest innovations and trends in the global gourmet scene were discussed and shared.

2). Trade Exhibits

The trade exhibit brought together international and national food and beverage companies which showcased their products, equipment, and technology to over 6,000 trade buyers and decision-makers from many countries.

There were food tasting and seminars, wine tunnel, culinary presentations, and destination lifestyle stands.

 

3). Flavors of the Philippines Festival

The Flavors of the Philippines Festival was a month-long cultural and gastronomic feast in many parts of the country featuring food tours and tastings, gourmet meals by celebrity chefs in restaurants, roving food trucks, bar crawls and more…

In Madrid Fusion 2016, the main conference lunch and the VIP media lunch will be combined to showcase the best of the Philippine Cuisine with different themes – Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao!
