Rebecca's Revenge: A Chilling Sequel to Rebecca's Room @MysteryManila

“Rebecca’s Revenge” is the second installment of the original “Rebecca’s Room”, a horror-inspired Mystery Manila Room centered on the curious disappearance of Rebecca Rubio. In this sequel, you play a group of Spirit Questors that attempt to solve the mystery behind Rebecca’s vengeful spirit.

Mystery Manila is simulated puzzle experience that can be played by up to 6 people. You and your friends strain your brains to solve a mystery by carefully piecing together complex clues under a challenging, but exciting time constraint of 1 hour.

This room was quite challenging, yet exhilarating. It takes some abstract thinking to solve, which makes the game all the more worth it!

Aside from arriving at least 30 minutes before your appointment, it’s probably a good idea if you maximize the number of players when playing this particular Mystery Room (it’s always fun to watch each others’ reactions when the “bad stuff” starts to happen).

You will be given 60 minutes to solve the mystery, so try not to dawdle!

Ensure that you read each and every clue thoroughly and efficiently, as a lot of the seemingly random things tend to be connected.

By the time the rooms get dark, the players will have to rely on these artificial candles to get around the room. This adds that extra spooky effect, making this game perfect for Halloween!

In terms of set design, this mystery room successfully gave us the creeps.

Each room has a surveillance camera. To get a clue, a player just needs to madly wave their arms in the camera’s direction. Each clue you get adds 5 minutes to your final time, so use them sparingly!

Even if we used 2 clues (we’re still embarrassed about that), we were still able to finish the game in 58 minutes!

In general, we really enjoyed Rebecca’s Revenge for its chilling take on the horror-crime genre. We highly recommend going in 6’s since the Mystery Rooms facilitate team-building. There is no doubt Team OAP feels little closer now that the ordeal is over.

These Mystery Rooms were conceptualized by Chuck & Marge Chang (pictured above) and Eroll & Kimbee Magdato. The couples drew their inspiration from The Mystery House in Japan.

You play as Nico Antonio’s Spirit Questors set out to finish what he started. Back in 2014, all of you worked on the mysterious case of Rebecca Rubio and attempted to quell her spirit. You left the scene thinking you put her soul to rest, but you were wrong.

Nico’s mistake comes at a cost. You are given 60 minutes to help your leader undo this by reading his memoirs and piecing together complex clues.

Do you have what it takes to face Rebecca’s wrath? Book now and see what you’re made of.
