From Milk Teas, to Soya Drinks, and now Milkshakes, Manila’s drinks-on-the-go scene just keeps on evolving. Singapore’s ONCE UPON A MILSHAKE (or OUAM) finally opened an outdoor stall at the Science Hub in Mckinley Hill, and a second outlet at SM BF Paranaque.
The branding and concept is nice, but are their milkshakes really that good?
OUAM is located near the Emperador Stadium, before the Azkals Cafe.
It’s right outside the Accenture Building in Science Hub 2.
They specialize in Milkshakes (of course), Ice Cream, and Shibuya Toast. 🙂
Love their playful flavors. They even have their own cartoon characters to represent each one.

Meet owner Alvin Ng, who created Once Upon a Milkshake back in 2009 (earlier this year, he and his team also opened their new cafe concept back in Singapore called Shibuya Toast).
He shared that he wanted to specialize in a product that he’s loved ever since childhood. And why not? Everyone loves Milkshakes!
The mini-version is already big enough to satisfy your milkshake cravings. The large size is good for sharing.
They use their signature OUAM Soft Serve Ice Cream, which goes well with all the flavors.
Quality low-fat milk plus the syrup of the flavor of your chioce is added to the ice cream.
✮ Salted Caramel Milkshake (Regular Size – P135)
I like the salted caramel, which balances the sweet and rich taste of the ice cream milkshake.
Chocolate Castle (Mini – P85)
The chocolate flavor was really good, too. It’s rich, sweet, and the ice cream melts easily.
Overall, ONCE UPON A MILKSHAKE brings an interesting concept with nice branding. Their milkshake is rich and sweet and comes in a variety of intriguing flavors. It’s a good alternative to Milk Teas. I wonder if they’ll set a new trend or corner the milkshake-on-the-go market?
