Sofitel Adventure-28.jpg

SOFITEL is one of the best “staycation” escapes for Manileños because of its awesome sunset experience; Spiral – the best buffet in Manila, and Le Spa — a favorite massage experience for couples.

We have blogged about this a number of times through the years, and it continues to be our favorite hotel resort in Manila:

Here’s an updated photo essay of a Sofitel “Staycation” experience and SPIRALS’ Champagne Breakfast:

The restroom is spacious and with French- bath amenities.

Sofitel Adventure-6.jpg
It has a balcony that overlooks the city or the bay.

Sofitel Adventure-2.jpg
For babies, you can have a crib and cute teddy bear as sleeping companion.

Sofitel Adventure-16.jpg
I love their  attention to details specially to make the kids stay longer to have more fun by using  the  “Little Prince “theme.

Sofitel Adventure-23.jpg
Best of all, there’s a Gymboree where you can leave your kids to play all they want!

Sofitel Adventure-25.jpg
It’s very spacious and there are different classes: Play & Learn, Arts, Music and Preschool classes.

Sofitel Adventure-24.jpg
Make sure to call to know the schedule of the classes and the free play time.

The best part of the stay is watching the breathtaking Manila sunset.

Hammocks are conveniently located for your sunset viewing pleasure.

Sometimes you get to witness a romantic sunset wedding.

Here’s a tip for couples: Book the Jardin D’ Eden couples room in Le Spa for your couple’s massage from 4-7pm.

It has it’s own private balcony so that you can watch the sunset with your special someone.

SPIRAL’s Champagne Breakfast

Spirals Ultimate Sunday Brunch-17.jpg
The Spiral’s breakfast gets my vote for the Best Breakfast Buffet in Manila. The buffet offerings are totally different from the SPIRAL’s Dinner and Sunday Brunch Buffet.

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-50.jpg
Most guests would start with the most-raved-about feature of the buffet – the Cheese Room.

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-2.jpg
You have a choice of different freshly baked French bread.

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-45.jpg
You can select from  a good variety of fresh whole fruits,

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-23.jpg
and sliced fruits.

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-51.jpg
The French station is converted into an egg station,

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-5.jpg
… with a nice hard-boiled egg’s nest presentation.

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-18.jpg
In the teppanyaki section, you can order from a limited selection of meat.

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-19.jpg
I love the Japanese rice for breakfast,

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-25.jpg
… with the sausages and hams in the churrasco section.

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-28.jpg
There are good selection of vegetarian dishes in the Indian section.

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-29.jpg
You have to try the Indian Pancakes,

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-30.jpg
… with exotic condiments that you can mix and match with your breakfast.

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-31.jpg
In the Chinese section, a freshly steamed Hainanese chicken is available,

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-34.jpg
… with different noodle soup options, and

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-33.jpg
… with wide variety of ingredients.

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-36.jpg
There’s a good selection of dimsum (but no hakaw for breakfast),

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-35.jpg
… and dimsum desserts like our favorite buchi 🙂

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-39.jpg
You can choose from three different versions of congee…

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-40.jpg
… with all your favorite toppings and condiments.

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-42.jpg
I love the Kim Chi in the Korean section to mix with my rice to add a spicy “sting” to it.

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-44.jpg
The best part of the breakfast buffet are the Filipino options.

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-41.jpg
I love their sweet angus beef tapa version

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-43.jpg
… and their tocino.

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-9.jpg
Fresh Fruit Juice is available,

Spirals Ultimate Sunday Brunch-7.jpg
… and sometimes their own cooler concoctions or vegetable juices.

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-17.jpg
You can order pancakes, French toasts, and waffles.

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-14.jpg
If you want to be healthy, go for the muesli and the preserved fruits options, or

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-11.jpg
…choose from a wide variety of fresh yogurt!

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-12.jpg
My kids enjoyed the yogurt buffet,

Spirals Ultimate Sunday Brunch-6.jpg
different chocolates, and

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-13.jpg
… chocolate fondue.

Spirals Ultimate Sunday Brunch-5.jpg
To top it all, they serve unlimited champagne during the weekend!

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-54.jpg
This is simply the perfect breakfast for our family!

Sofitel Swimming Lagoon-1.jpg
After breakfast, you can go to the cold swimming pool waters of Sofitel.

Sofitel Swimming Lagoon-6.jpg
Although, the kids are still not allowed to slide, we enjoyed playing around the rocks and the waterfalls.

SPIRALS Breakfast by Sofitel Manila-55.jpg
Overall, it’s one of our most memorable family escapes right in the heart of Metro Manila.

Highly recommended for balikbayans and tourists, for “staycations” and  celebrating anniversaries.

  1. Not sure if it also applies in this gymboree but they only allow kids up to 5 years old. Sometimes its 60 months and under only

  2. maybe the welcome chocolates and gummy bears were only bec you were invited by the hotel. i have an accor card and my free room did not include welcome treats nor free breakfast

  3. I agree with Sunshine. We stayed there last December, and service was mediocre. They even forgot to inform us that the cake for my daughter’s birthday is not available… We were waiting the whole night.
