We’ve taste-tested a lot of cakes and dessert items in Mercato, but we haven’t come across much treats like the Cassava Tartlet from Joan & Jane Cake Bites. It is something different and definitely worth raving about immediately after your first bite.
You’ve got to try their Salted Caramel Cassava Tartlets topped with chopped cashews to balance the taste. This is a refreshing twist to the usual cassava tart.
They also introduced their beef pot pie and custard cake in UTT7.0, but the tartlets were the ones that left a lasting impression.
Congratulations to Joan & Jane Cake Bites for getting the foodies’ seal of approval in UTT 7.0!
Original Cassava Tartlets (Box of 8 – P280). A unique twist on the classic cassava cake. Soft and moist cassava filling in a buttery pastry crust with a sweet topping and parmesan cheese.
Salted Caramel Cassava Tartlets (Box of 8 – P280). The same creamy cassava filling in our flaky crust but topped with salted caramel and chopped cashews. Our personal favorite!
Custard Cake with Fresh Fruits (P500).
