Our First Firing Range Experience

Our First Firing Range Experience-90
Have you ever wondered how to get into the sport of shooting, or just learn how to shoot a gun for self-defense purposes?

I've never tried the top shooting ranges in Manila, namely Armscor in the Basement of Makati Cinema Square, Jetro in Frisco, Del Monte, and PB Dionisio in Roosevelt, Quezon City. I had the impression that all indoor firing ranges are smoky, hot and only for gun club members.

But the Stronghand Shooting Range in E. Rodriquez, Quezon City elevated the indoor shooting range by providing a toxic-free, airconditioned indoor range environment that is friendly for newbies.

I've always been curious about it, so I decided to conquer my fears and try out shooting for the first time in my life. We accepted a free Shooting Range lesson, and here is our experience...

Why Peking Garden serves the BEST Peking Duck in Manila?

Read: 10 Most Awesome Chinese Restaurants in Manila! Kung Hei Fat Choi!

Peking Garden-9

Peking Garden undoubtedly serves the BEST Peking Duck in Manila. The crispiness of the skin and the way the duck is served are details that even Chinese restaurants in 5-star hotels cannot match. It is not a franchise but it is owned by the Maxim's Group of Chinese Restaurants based in Hongkong (they also own the Starbucks franchise in HK).

Eating a Peking Duck is usually reserved for special occasions. Here is a suggestion on how best to enjoy the Peking Duck at Peking Garden. :)

The Misibis Bay Experience: What to eat? (2 of 3)

Misibis Bay Resort Day 2-100

Good food is part of our criteria when deciding where to travel next. Our travels and food adventures have made us realize that just because an establishment is charging high-end prices, the quality of food will also be high.

Heaven is for Real and the Prince of Peace!

HeavenisforReal

I believe that there is Heaven because of our Catholic faith.

But after reading these two books on the stories of two young persons' personal encounters with Heaven, it became really real for me. I accepted it as a fact rather than just depending on blind faith about its existence.

The story of  3-year-old Colton Burpo's encounters with Jesus in Heaven was both reassuring and chilling, powerfully told through the innocence of a child. It answered the questions on:

  • What happens with our loved ones when they die?
  • Do the unborn really have a soul? (a timely question in light of the RH Bill)
  • Is Heaven just a concept or is it physically real? What does it feel like?
  • What does it mean to get a Power Shot from Heaven?
  • What does Jesus look like?

It was very comforting to learn the answers, and it further strengthens our Faith in Him.
