Disclosure: We paid for all the burgers we ate for this Battle of the Burgers project.

P.S. We decided NOT to include some of the burgers that people don’t usually rave about as the Best Burgers in Manila. Also, the list above represents the best burgers by the end of 2010.

P.P.S. If you think you have a NEW burger favorite that deserves to be a contender for the 2011 Battle, please let us know in the comments section. 🙂

  1. I was happy to see a burger from Tropical Hut here—yey for Tropical Hut burgers! I can win a million pesos in the lottery but I will still eat Tropical Hut burgers over other pricey burgers.
+1 on Good Burger’s burger, Stackers and Crave Burger
Crave Burger initially have “lantang” gulay with their burgers, but their burger improved during my follow-up visit.
Bite Club has downgraded their burger’s quality. They now have this greasy aftertaste that would make your burp remind you the horror of the ghost of Bite Club burger’s past.
Seriously, Johnny Rockets? Please don’t include any of their monay burgers on the list.

  2. Jollibee, McdO and other fastfoods are missin, Burger MAchine, ZtE burger? Hehe
If you dont say where there are from, they seem so look all the same
    Cheers to the Heart Stoppers!

  3. try the San Francisco burger of Millie’s in Microtel Inn & Suites – Mall of Asia. also, if it’s still open, the burger of Breakfast by Antonio and Massimo’s in Tagaytay.

  4. We love Cajun Red Rock’s volcano burger. They have a branch at The Atrium in Megamall and the original restaurant is in Retiro (Amoranto).

  5. How can you have forgotten Murray & Divine in Serendra? All they specialize and serve are burgers!

  6. Elbert’s burger didn’t make the cut? Sooo good! Even the downgraded version available at Elbert’s Cheesesteaks.

  7. Hi Anton,
Thanks for the mention. The Chef’s burger (truffled bone marrow stuffed burger) comes with soup or salad, fries (sometimes potato wedges cooked in duck fat) dessert and coffee or tea and available at Elbert’s Steak Room.
    cheers!

  8. Blackwood Bistro houses some of the best burgers in town. It’s a well kept secret, but their Blue Cheese Burger and their Smoked bacon Burger are 2 contenders for the Best Burgers, but not enough people know about them (which is kind of a good thing). Their pretty expensive compared to most of the burgers here (375 bucks) but it’s definitely worth it

  9. I love Gourmet’s Palate Charbroiled Burgers in BF Paranaque – they should be in this fight, and in my opinion, outpunches some burger entries (Crave and at least the fast food burgers) in this list in taste and price. The Samurai, Mushroom Melt, Chicano and Blue Thunder burgers are one of the better tasting burgers that don’t break the budget, none of them exceeding the P100 price barrier.

  10. Hello Anton,
May I suggest that the contest should be for the best burger in the country. I invite you to try Bourbon Street Grill and Bar’s (Iloilo City) U.S. Beef Burger. Cheers!

  11. my picks:
    tropical hut ranchero burger
    burger avenue jr. avenue burger
    kenny roger’s cheeseburger
    army navy burger
    mcdo cheeseburger
    sango hamburger
    tgi fridays cheeseburger
    brother’s burger
    burger king swiss mushroom burger

  12. Good Day!
I am currently one of the owners of a burger stall at Ateneo-John Gokongwei School of Management Student Enterprise Center (JSEC) and I was wondering if you would be keen to try out our burgers, it costs 65-70 pesos only since we cater to students and I myself is a student, but there’s something unique about our burgers and you can see for yourself. Our stall is opened only until next week since classes for the summer semester is about to end, but we will be open from June 15 onwards until March 2012. Drop by Ateneo and try our mouthwatering burgers over at City Buns!

  13. anong kaguluhan ito ? burger lang nagtatalo talo kayo? joke lang, he he. well anyway, all i can say is, enjoy your burger, whatever , pero kung overweight na kayo, hinay hinay nalang sa pagkain… baka mauwi sa rayuma.

  15. wow!! this is more than awesome.. ive ben searching for the best burger in town myself..but wait why is ZARKS burger not part of it..its one of my best so far

  16. Bite Club burger in Boracay! for Charcoal grilled Burgers and Bite Club Katipunan for their flame broiled burgers!

  17. I’ve tried Elbert’s burger, its sinful and quite possibly the best burger in town. Thanks for featuring it Anton, otherwise, i would never have had a chance to enjoy it!

  18. OMG!!!! I WAS AT JOHNNY ROCKETS IN THE FORT TODAY AND MY BURGER HAD A COCKROACH EGG IN IT!!!!!!!!! YUCK!! ILL NEVER LOOK AT JOHNNY ROCKETS THE SAME WAY AGAIN!!
BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU EAT! THAT CRUNCHY STUFF IN THE JOHNNY ROCKETS BURGER MIGHT BE A COCKROACH EGG! YUCK!
I TOLD THE MANAGER MS BERYL BUT SHE JUST SMILED AND APOLOGIZED! AND STILL CHARGED ME FOR THE BURGER! DIDNT EVEN OFFER TO REPLACE IT! HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT!

  19. Yep these burgers all look good, but I will agree with one commenter here: You will want to try Boulevard Diner in Xavierville. Even Chef Gene Gonzalez commends it as one of the best burgers in Manila 🙂 !

  20. Sorry, we never had the chance to THANK YOU for including BIG BETTER BURGERS in this 2010 Battle. Please CHECK US OUT and we hope that you can include us in the 2012 BATTLE.
    AWESOME!
    Maraming Salamat Po!

  21. Burger King has recently deteriorated.
One of the best burgers is TROPICAL HUT’S CLASSIC BURGER.
Just the right size and moist.
It’s patty though is not as good as before but its still good.
