I always love movies that break stereotypes, and Legally Blonde is one of them. Not to mention, I’d like to see women actually get along instead of fighting all the time. Of course, there’s always that girlish motivation, the one that makes you want to buy a pair of pretty shoes after watching it. 🙂
I Love to watch Legally Blonde because it is so funny and at the same time inspiring how a person can do and become anything he/she wants by being resourceful and just working really hard like Elle.

I would love to watch Legally Blonde the musical because I loved the original movie. It has inspired me to break the stereotype and conquer my fears.
You see, I was a really geeky kid in school. Everything associated with anything kikay, I felt was a worthless past time. Little did I know this thinking was the result of my own insecurities. I was so afraid of trying out new things thinking I might look stupid and idiotic.
Elle’s character showed me that you can be stylish without coming off as a ditzy airhead. It also has made me realize that I was missing a lot in life because of my insecurities.
Ever since watching the original film years back, I have, among others, danced like a lunatic in a club, started my masters degree, travelled internationally all on my own, broken up with my loser “Warner Huntington”-esque of a boyfriend and found my own “Emmett Richmond” (who I did marry).
Legally Blonde breaks the stereotypes and shows just how far you can go if you believe in yourself and work hard. Its not how much you fail but how many times you’ve stood up and conquered your fears. =)

I’d love to watch Legally Blonde because I hear that the version staged in the UK was “like..totally awesome!” Gone are the days when musicals are considered old fashioned and kind of dodgy. Today, musicals can be young and can even be considered cool (think, Rent and Spring Awakening). Simply put, Legally Blonde is the perfect example of how a musical can appeal to the young generation.

I love to watch legally blonde because i do believe that we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. a girly may look frail and fragile but watch her and you’ll see that she is also a tough-y. legally blonde is a celebration of femininity and girl power. i loved it in the big screen and i would be so honored to watch it come to life on stage and be one in the celebration of the ultimate girl power premiere. i am a great fan of elle woods because i can relate to her character. elle symbolizes women who were often misjudged as no-brainy because of the way she looks but eventually proves them wrong. she has a sense of style and she does not compromise it to please other people. she loves pink as much as i love it!

I love to watch Legally Blonde The Musical because I just love its story. Back in UP, whenever I feel I need more push in terms of studying, I watch the movie over and over again. It gives me the drive and realization that I too, can achieve what I thought is achievable. Up to now, I still recommend that movie to my friends and former students who I think can relate to the story.
Reese Witherspoon portrayed her role in the movie very well and I think Nikki Gil will give justice to it. I just can’t wait to see the musical… it will be one of my birthdays that I will surely never forget… =)

I am a girl and I love pink and being girly.. I also want to watch these multi-talented, Filipino theater actors on stage do their thing! I also like the story and I think watching it as a musical is way better than the movie itself. I love to watch Legally Blonde because it’s about going beyond people’s expectations, braving the unknown and keeping your head up in a sea of people trying to pull you down. It’s inspiration in a pair of pink stilettos. It’s a story that puts a silly smile on my face even after having watched the movie countless times already. And, well, I don’t think there could be a better feeling than that!

I love to watch Legally Blonde because Elle Woods represent not just your typical american woman but the ’empowered woman’ in these modern times. She is not your typical heroine who would slay dragons for you, not your average superhero with the pretentious colorful costume but your modern day princess in her pretty pink outfit ready to bust any man’s balls to protect what/who she loves. She is all heart who uses her intelligence to bring forth justice and freedom and love and everything else that matters in life

Its heroine, Elle Woods, may be beautiful, rich, and yes, blonde but, like all of us, she has to overcome obstacles to fulfill her full potential. She did it not by rejecting what she is but by being true to herself in facing challenging situations like studying law and at Harvard Law at that!
As a lawyer, I also appreciate how “Legally Blonde” portrays the law and the study of it. Law is necessarily serious business, but there is always room in it for humor, heart, and creativity — qualities that both Elle and the Filipino talents behind “Legally Blonde” the musical have in spades!
BTW, while composing my comment can’t help but think of another beautiful blonde also named Elle (actually Elin) Woods, Tiger Woods’ long suffering wife, who also has serious challenges on her plate. Hope she faces them with the same indomitable spirit as Elle Woods!

I love to watch Legally Blonde The Musical because I am a law student myself and I can definitely relate to what Elle Woods is undergoing in the film version. The culture of the law school is similar regardless of where it is located and it’s funny that they captured its essence. I would really want to see how the theater version would differ from the film and see how our own actors can live up to its characters especially our heroine Elle Woods. This show would inspire us women to embrace our feminine side while getting the job done and prove that there can be a lot more to us than it meets the eye.

Just because girls exert extra effort to look good, dress up, get kikay and act girly does not mean those are the only things that these girls care about. Aside from being “kikay” they can be great students, excellent professionals, good moms or children in their families, honorable members of society and kick-ass! Women feel better about themselves if they look better and we don’t need judgement or condescension from others just because we choose to embrace our femininity. 🙂

The movie has effortlessly left an indelible impression on me with regards to the age-old merits of unwavering perseverance in fulfilling one’s goals in abject defiance of unwarranted family and peer pressure, and traversing the road less traveled in one’s own inimitable albeit somewhat trifle style in the pursuit of staying true to oneself. To find that in this gem of a chick flick – and that it is exceedingly amusing to boot without bordering on being mawkish and effusively emotional – is but mere icing on the cake.
Reese Witherspoon has amply proven her mettle as an award-winning actress, but she will always be memorable to me as the seemingly ditzy but incorrigibly feisty Elle Woods who is the epitome of successfully though frivolously eschewing stereotypes and being a neither-left-nor-right-yet-never-center kittenish intellectual. Plus her predilection for embracing endorphins is plain infectious! How I wish I can pull off a Harvard Law School admission essay video like hers! That plus a whole slew of memorable nuances in her character brilliantly show that a young woman can realistically balance a genuine enjoyment of life with an unyielding nobility of dedication and purpose. For this precious character alone, the movie already figures prominently in my list of movies worth watching before considering kicking the bucket – go figure.
It will be an absolute feast to witness how Nikki Gil, Nyoy Volante and the rest of the apparently dynamic local cast uphold my undying faith in the world class Filipino musical talent as they hopefully essay effectively the beyond caricaturish characters of the movie. Can hardly wait to relish them bringing to life onstage Elle, the proverbial knight with token chivalry Emmett Richmond, the virtual cad Warner Huntington III, the bitch with a heart Vivian Kensington, the deliciously rotund yet pixieish Paulette Bonafonté (can’t hold back the guffaws whenever I see her execute the “bend and snap” in the presence of her crush the UPS guy), the very human Brooke Taylor Windham (arguably Ali Larter’s claim to fame long before her Heroes role), the astutely stern yet inspiring voice of wisdom Professor Stromwell (love her scene in the parlor after overhearing Elle’s soon-to-be-botched decision to quit law school) and a host of others who hands down help immortalize the movie and seal its indubitably worthy metamorphosis to the musical theater realm.
I love to watch Legally Blonde because Elle Woods is a prime example of someone who epitomizes beauty, brains and wit! I’ve watched the movie several times and never get tired of watching it. I also love the music in the musical, as it’s upbeat and fun, much like the movie. I’m also curious on seeing it live, and I think the cast is spot-on!

My Tita Lyding celebrated her 86th birthday this month. I would like to take her to see the show. She always marvels how the world has drastically changed during her lifetime and she oftent talks about how women’s roles and representation in society has evolved.
I think she will enjoy watching Legally Blonde and it will remind her that she has been part of that change too. When she was 21, she decided to work at the province of Zamboanga against her family’s wishes to pursue her dream, travel the Philippines, and be more independent.
It would mean a lot to her, and to me if we win the contest. Cheers.

I love to watch Legally Blonde because the musical is one of the most significant things in my life – it made Broadway babies out of me and my college friends, brought us closer together and eventually inspired me to break stereotypes and pursue law school. Way back in college singing Legally Blonde songs became our “thing” to do whenever we were down or had something to celebrate, we created this entire retinue of inside jokes and became each other’s personal greek chorus. Elle became our idol of sorts, that you didn’t need to become drab (or untrue to yourself) to pursue things you love and realize dreams you never knew you had. It would be awesome to have this chance to see something that means a lot to us and have an excuse to meet up with each other now that everyone’s busy with real world things. 🙂

I would love to watch Legally Blonde the musical coz I really enjoyed the movie that I watched it gazillion times already. Yes it’s a feel-good movie and more. Elle Woods’ character is so positive that she is oblivious to the limitations and pre-judgments on stereotypes set by society. I am such a fan of the movie that I have such high expectations of the musical. I even recruited several friends to come see it with me 😛
I love to watch Legally Blonde because beyond its pop and sassy exterior is one of life’s most important rules: Transcend your label, but don’t ever forget who you truly are.
I would love to watch Legally Blonde because I admire how Elle Woods recovered and successfully moved on after being dumped by her “narrow-minded” boyfriend! I also love how true she is to herself when she entered Harvard, a lot of women “pretend” just to fit in and that’s a total turn-off for me. Most of all, I want to treat my wife coz she’s one great woman and she will surely love this as much as we did when we saw the movie.
I love to watch Legally Blonde because of 3 things:First it’s an inspiration for us girls to be strong and never be afraid to speak and stand out. It teaches us to believe in ourselves, even if the world tell us it’s ‘impossible’ or ‘it’s never going to work.’Second, it would be lovely to see Filipino talents rocking and werqing the musical because Pinoy talents are in their top of their game and Legall Blonde musical received good reviews ,it’s going to exciting to see how will Pinoy bring that kind performance too.Lastly, I want a breakaway from the world and I want to forget my problems , even for just 2 hours, and I love watching musicals. 😀
I’d love to watch legally blonde simply because I love this movie with a great passion! I can’t believe it’s going to be a musical here in our country. I’ve been looking forward to see the stage/musical version of this movie. I like Elle very much, she’s an inspiration even though I’m not a blonde. After watching the movie, I completely changed from punk to girly. I really can’t wait to hear all the songs with all variety of talents. Also i would love to see how the transition goes from movie to musical. Being looked down upon for something you can’t help about yourself is a big thing (I know), and not only does she deal with it everywhere she goes but she also deals with it in a very graceful way. She helps other people with their problems and is an all-around good person, though a little silly at times (yay!). Elle is also a smart person; she can analyze a situation and handle it correctly, and she works hard to acquire any other knowledge she was missing. I’m not a law student (I’m an art student), but aren’t those qualities a nurse should have? So this movie shows that anything can be achieved when you put your heart in it, and to not be afraid to find your true calling and chase your dreams (or in this case the “love of your life”). It gives the rest of us dreamers hope, because who really knows what we could do for the world? I’ve never been in a musical show and given a chance to see my favorite movie in live, fun, and musical event is gonna be a life changing experience.
I want to watch Legally Blonde because I loved the movie 🙂 plus it looks like a very promising Philippine production 🙂

I love to watch Legally Blonde because I’ve always been a fan of this show. If there’s a broadway musical closest to my heart, this is Legally Blonde the musical. I’ve learned about it 2007, watched the MTV taping, and totally adored Laura Bell Bundy. I am not ashamed to say that I’ve memorized the whole book, even the San Franciso cut songs. I also watched MTV’s the search for Elle Woods, where Bailey Hanks won and even though people hated her, I still love her– because she’s Elle Woods. Then months before the show closed, it was announced that it will be on tour with Becky Gulsvig, and I know it is impossible for me to fly there, because I don’t have the money. So, yeah, I would appreciate if I get to watch the show for free. I believe in Nikki Gil’s talent and I know she will rock it blonde. I’m just 16, so I don’t really have enough money to see the show.
P.S., I also won the LBTM London contest, but since I’m not a London resident, I gave my tickets to a random Legally Blonde fan in UK. I didn’t regret giving it, Blonde fans must stick together, right?

I love to watch Legally Blonde the musical because I’m a girl… and legally blonde is all about girl power!!!! A lot of people(especially boys) may consider us as “second class” of human race, they all think that girls are girls and they can’t do better than guys. GIRLS may be over-sensitive at times… we can be shallow and emotional but deep inside were all the same. We are girls… and we’re all about the details and way it’s done! There are no Gender Barriers anymore… =) I believe even guys would enjoy such a movie like LEGALLY BLONDE… GO GIRL POWER *IN PINK HEELS!!!!!!* ( and everything 😉 )
I’d love to watch legally blonde because not only am i a lawyer like elle woods, but i could be as much of a ditz as she is sometimes! I was sustained throughout law school by the movie — i’d watch it whenever i’d feel bad about the stress that law school and the recitations bring me — and now that i’m a lawyer, i still keep going back to the movie to uplift myself as needed. watching the musical would be such a treat for me!
Of course, watching it would not be complete if i can’t bring my paulette with me — my Tita Mayu was the person who, like Elle’s Paulette — sustained me through the hard times and taught me that I am much more of the person that I thought I was.
I Love to Watch Legally Blonde Because…of Elle (the main character), i love her transformation throughout the movie.And although she did make a huge deal of becoming a lawyer, her good side never change even the blonde and pink thing…oh! and never forget that cute little dog Bruiser!!!…I wonder if theres a dog to in the musical?…I will be so thrilled to watch the Musical version of Legally Blonde!!! I love to watch Legally Blonde the musical because I loved the movie! Whenever Legally Blonde is on HBO or Star Movies, I couldn’t help watching it. I first saw it in my freshman year in college and it was a great way to let the too-used adage sink in my freshie brain, that not everything is what they seem to be. Hence, don’t judge people too easily.
Being a freshman in a big university sure has its major pros and cons. I was overwhelmed by the expectations people had in me, in us that it totally freaked me out. Little did I know that the actual challenge doesn’t lie in surpassing other people’s expectations, especially people I hardly know. But to understand and know the real me, and like myself for who I am.
Just like Elle, after the movie (and my freshman year), I was a better person, concentrating on my strengths and not minding what other people has to say about me. It’s a girl power domination I would certainly like to be a part of!

I am a woman of strong will and character and I believe that this musical will also help other women discover and unleash their true passion and strength. I love to watch Legally Blonde because Elle Woods is a reminder that I should embrace life with all its complexities and learn to enjoy what life has to offer at the same time. I loved Reese Witherspoon in the movie, Laura Belle Bundy in the original broadway cast, and I hope to love Nikki Gil in our own version of the musical. I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS MUSICAL. I went gaga last August when I heard about the musical getting franchised here. I enjoy all their songs, from “Omigod You Guys!” to “Positive.” Heck, I can even have a monologue of this play. I’d to see this musical with my bratty, kikay friends who often act as if they just stepped out of a fashion magazine! It would be a hilarious bonding activity for all of us!
I want to watch Legally Blonde because it would be a good bonding 5th-anniversary opportunity with a female friend who I met on 5/5/2005. Also, I have been watching man fare this year: The A-Team, Kick Ass, The Story of Eli, Robin Hood. Legally Blonde would be my estrogen shot of the year, before I go over to the dark side. 🙂

• Last thing I saw on stage was the comedy Defending the Caveman (it was a good and light reminder of the male viewpoint). I think it is just right that the next show I watch is about girl power…woohoo!
• I was able to catch Romeo and Bernadette last February. Cris Villonco was wonderful portraying Bernadette. I would like to see her take on the “serious” Vivienne Kensington.

• I am a big fan of musicals. I watch musicals with family, friends and even with my 6-year old niece (is Legally Blonde for kids?). I love musicals a lot that I don’t mind watching it even without the company of family/friends. Having seen a musical once doesn’t stop me from watching it again. The plot, costumes and set may be the same but the actors provide an entirely different experience.
• This is a Filipino production of a hit broadway musical. Watching it would not only be entertaining but a way of supporting Filipino theatre. With theatre companies producing more shows within a year, new theatre companies coming in (eg. 9works), well-known Filipino actors going back to the Philippines to be part of a production, kids signing up for theatre during summer…we are not far from having a theatre district.
I was a kid when the Legally blonde was released in the theaters and I’ve always considered Elle Woods as my hero and when I first found out that they were doing a broadway version of the movie, I couldn’t imagine how the movie could translate into theater. But the original broadway production, with Laura Bell Bundy on the helm, exceeded all expectations I had. I found a bootleg copy of the broadway production but it can never satisfy my want to see the production in the theater.
This is the reason why I am thrilled to find out that Atlantis is producing a local version of legally blonde. I am so excited, I can’t wait for its opening night!

I also love to see NIkki Gil perform on stage because i see her as a perfect role model for the next generation.

I Love to Watch Legally Blonde Because… it’s a show I can really relate to. Most people assume that I’m just a “dumb blonde” (i’m not literally blonde, but you know what I mean)who can’t do anything for herself because I act before i think. This movie inspired me to never let other people label you or put you in a stereotype. Elle Woods is a role model and an inspiration to every girl out there. Moreover, I’m really excited to watch the musical because Nikki Gil landed the role of Elle Woods. Nikki Gil is one of my favorite celebrities in showbiz and I would love to see her on stage. 🙂
