The Little Mermaids of Manila Ocean Park
We were pleasantly surprised to see the Little Mermaid Show at Manila Ocean Park. I'm now curious to know who these mermaids are. They made performing underwater with oxygen look easy. They were always smiling throughout the show -- and they sure can last long underwater. The staff said that they are part of the RP swimming team... (Can anybody confirm this?)
The show starts with the individual performance of each of the mermaids and ends with some synchronized swimming. It is free for Oceanarium visitors and for every P150 receipt of food or non-food items bought at any Manila Ocean Park Store.

Before the show starts, the kids have a chance to enjoy the aquarium full of fishes, stingrays and sharks. The kids are already happy seeing the fishes -- you don't even have to enter the Oceanarium.
The show begins with the solo smiling performance of the green, blue, red, and purple mermaids.
The Red Mermaid is the most graceful one of them all...

We also like the Green Mermaid... (of course :) )

As part of the encore performance, the mermaids join together for a group hug and a final goodbye.

To finally end the show, a siokoy appears in a diving suit to ruin the mermaids' swimming party...
