After 40 days, the Balangay is complete! (parang Noah's Ark ang drama...) The bloggers had a fun time inside the Balangay, which can comfortably fit 20 people.
Here are a few scenes inside the Balangay...
It was raining so hard in CCP last night. The winds were blowing sideways, showering the bloggers. It felt like a simulation of what a stormy night inside the Balangay would feel like.
Aidan was constantly asking me when the Balangay would sail. I told him that we will be back when the Balangay is on Manila Bay waters. I think he finds it odd why the vessel is still on land.
This is the view inside the Balangay without the flash. It is dark at night without any source of electric power. As a strategy, the Balangay will only travel for 10 days during day time.
Here is the inside view of the completed Balangay. The bamboo benches will also serve as their beds. One of the frequently asked questions was, "Where will the balangay crew pee?" They plan to bring a portalet inside the Balangay.
Art Valdez sharing with us the 3H Philosophy of the Voyage of the Balangay -- Harmony with Nature, Harmony with the Boat, and Harmony with the People.
Don't miss seeing the Balangay with your kids before it sets sail on June 24!
